The Outer Worlds 2

Lmao was TLOU2 THAT bad?

I haven't touched a Naughty Dog came since Jak 3 and it's starting to feel more boastable... despite how autistic that sounds.
Just watch Internet Historians playthrough of it. It is really funny. The best is when he forgot Abby's name in the final hours of the game.

This is a game made by a California studio. What political beliefs do you think the majority of the dev time are going to have? Getting so tired of faggots who don't live in the West Coast thinking they know everything about the politics here.
Honestly, I hate having to disagree with you on things, because you don't just make jests about what people say, but actively respond in quite shitty ways. Like saying Walp likes "Lesbian Fetish Porn or Coomer shit" because he disagrees with you about how muscular video game women should be, a meaningless debate to begin with, is just absurd.

What political beliefs do I think Californians have? Liberal. Probably Biden Voters. NIMBYist. People tend to conflate cookie cutter liberal politics that utilise surface level critiques of power structures as being actual Marxism a lot. I Don't really associate Yuppies in tech as being the kinds of people who spend their time thinking about Material Conditions, Commodity Fetishism and Proletarian Revolution.

And honestly, if you asked me to name a Marxist game dev from California, I'd say Josh Sawyer's probably the only actual example that comes to mind. He at the very least is very fond of trade unions, left-wing activism, ect., and I don't think he's the kind of person you have in mind when you talk about "Marxist game devs"

I can't speak for the gameplay since I've only watched other people play it, but a lot of the starting areas seem pretty cool. It kinda seems more boring when it gets in to the "Murder-Revenge fest" with the weak ass "What if we the bad guy" ending. Not saying stuff like that can't be handled right, but honestly it's a cliche at this point.

She hasn't played it but she takes internet drama super cereal, don't worry about it. Altho her rage fits can get pretty hilarious.

Look Jorge, I am sorry what I said to you but not Walp. He doesn't deserve any kindness because he is a actively shitty person to me ever since I came back over the whole Vergil thing and Walp is incapable of forgiveness and empathy unlike you or Crni. Even most of the mods here told me that they hate him but only tolerate him because he doesn't break the rules. I would love to see him go to the Codex. They would't take his shit. He stays here because he has made a hugbox for himself here and no way would he ever leave his hugbox.

The story is ok, some people don't like the death of a certain character.

I think that gameplay wise it is pretty good, it has some fun little systems like generating NPC enemies with names that they yell out loud in combat. Gameplay is oretty fluid so even if you don't enjoy the story it is fun, gets a bit dragged out on the second half tho. Solid 7.

The most hilarious thing is that I haven't thought about the game since like 2 months after I played it but Boo is still angry about me liking it lmao.

No, I said that Hades was the better game. Which it is and you got ass mad at me for saying that. Sorry but a game about ancient mythology is better then Neil's degenerate fetish sim that is drench in coom. This song is better then any of the hipster crap that you hear Ellie play in TLoU2:

Also, like how you brushed over my comments about you being a bitter and mean spirted person that is incapable of forgiveness. You are a pathetic and sad person.

Oh boy, another rage fit is starting. Wonder how long it will take before you start calling me slurs that only mean anything to americans again
:jiggy:

See this is what I meant about you being bitter. You are incapable of forgiveness. You hold a grudge. You are always bitter and angry to people even if they are nice to you, which I was in the past but you were always just nasty and smarmy to me and others that are my friends here. Ah... It is as if Arnust never left. Also like that you provided no counter to what I said and are now just baiting. Really wanting me to get that permaban I see? Want your hugbox to be free of the icky and problematic people who don't share your views? You know you can just go to ResetEra right?

Boo, you are literally ranting about nothing because you are angry, what level of lack self awareness are you on? Like you literally came to this thread just to take a shot at me lmao. Go play Hades and relax, stop being so angry over this dumb shit.

Fair enough. I'm not going to comment on the Walp drama any further because I don't know the history between you two.

I do really appreciate how you always make an effort to remedy things after hostilities though.

I can only really comment on the story, since again, I've only seen playthroughs, but a lot of it did feel really good writing to me:

I liked the characters, I liked the dynamics between the characters, I liked Joel's awkward attempts at being a father, and the banter between Dina and Ellie. I liked the starting town and how you walk through seeing the crops, the school, the bar, and just this wholesome vibe of rebuilding after a catastrophic event.

I feel like it was good at writing cool little scenes, like Ellie and Dina finding out Tommy's growing weed, or Dina explaining Judaism to Ellie who has never heard of it. Where the writing lost me was in all the serious scenes where Ellie's going on revenge killings. I feel like the writers would be better equipped to just handle a non-conventional story set in the various struggles of an apocalypse, with people suffering loss of loved ones, mixed in with optimistic hopeful vibes.

The revenge crusade combined with "What if it bad to kill people?" felt like a very basic theme that a million other games do better, and clearly wasn't the strong point.

I think it handled it ok, not stellar bit ok. I liked that some of the themes were reflected on the combat animations. Not the best story ever but a good interactive narrative experience with good gameplay. I think they should've included a challenge map mode ala the Arkham games.

But this is the Outer worlds 2 trailer thread.

I try Jorge. I really do. I am a work in progress. You have to understand something about Californians and West Coasters in general. You see, we have a term for the so called "communists" here on the West Coast and that is "Starbuck Communists". These are upper middle class people from predominately white communities who are very sheltered and never been to countries outside of America and Western Europe. They only know basic bitch stuff about Marx and communism and they want to LARP as revolutionaries. Yet at the same time they want to indulge in everything that Capitalism has to offer like getting the most expensive clothes, gadgets, food, cars, ect. I understand that America is a very Capitalist society and you can't really escape from it but at the same time if you want to be a communist you probably shouldn't live in excess. It reminds me of the Ok Boomer girl who used to say "Tax the rich" but ever since she became a multi millionaire she is like; "Maybe we shouldn't tax millionaires and only billionaires!" The hypocrisy. By the way, she moved to Texas, a state that doesn't have a income tax or much taxes in general. Imagine my shock.

Overall, unless Obsidian has been taking the criticism of their past few games seriously, I don't see this game being really any good. I really do think that New Vegas was Obsidian lighting in a bottle. Their track record has been pretty much misses after misses. Now I would like to be wrong and see a good game that does a good job of satirizing Corporatism and Marxism as there is a lot of material you have with that. Unless they hire some really good, creative and new writers I don't see that happening. Also, I would like to see less Rick & Morty humor and more humor in the style of Futurama as Futurama did a fairly good job of satirizing corporate culture with the likes of Mom and her business.

CEO's passion project.

The Fallout-style RPG is also real and a dream project for Oshry, but right now it's more like a prototype. "[Fallout] is my favorite game of all time, it's my favorite genre." Oshry estimates it'll be done in "like ten years" if it ever gets done.
