The Outer Worlds information overload

I mean, a planet in a video game is a pretty arbitrary amount of space. He does compare it to KOTOR 2, and that was a pretty large game. I do think there were more than two planets in that game, but a planet could mean anything from one to a zillion different areas.
Basically this. Remember, New Vegas only had one planet.

I'm pretty sure KOTOR2 had at least 6 planets though. One at the start, one at the end, and something like 4 in the middle where you could choose which ones to visit.

But since this isn't Star Wars, you can do more than one ecosystem per planet for variety rather than Desert Planet, Snow Planet, Tree Planet, City Planet etc.

Haha! Indeed. So two is already an improvement!

Now I'm just sitting here wondering what these planets will be. I bet one is Earth.

Actually, it does now. The dictionary people caved and added a second definition.
The dictionary people added Jiggy... Even Will Smith admitted to not knowing what the term means (if anything).

Dictionaries try to list the definition of words as they are used, and the editors will tell you that language changes over time. If enough people abuse the language with the same mistake then a dictionary might eventually include it... but IMO that's a bit like re-writing the driver's test to match modern [ie crazy] convention, or re-evaluating school testing scores to make the school look better with what they have to work with; to have more students have a passing grade.

You haven't even played the Fallout New Vegas DLCs yet?
Get the fuck off this website Bethestard.

hahahaha jk jk (have fun with those dlcs btw).
Nah, my 12 year old PS3 finally had enough the day after I bought them. Excellent timing. I just haven't bought another one and probably won't for awhile.

But I AM currently playing the first one! Love it!

must be something like Deus Ex: HR. two major cities (planets) and some special hubs (moons, asteroids)

I´m ok with that. Really liked DX:HR.

I'm sure it will be awesome regardless. We still don't have a lot to go on, but I'm assuming this game will be a highlight of E3.

Ah, I see... I would recommend purchasing New Vegas on pc.
Also of course you love Fallout 1, its freaking Fallout 1!

Didn't Bethesda, and/or GOG alter/censor Fallout 1 & 2? (at least somewhat)

You might want to patch the default install, if it's a new installer.

GOG didn't censor the originals, nor did bethesda, except for the german version which was censored on release (which made some quests impossible to finish)

The GoG version (as I recall) had the kids replaced with dogs; as opposed to being invisible, as in the German version.

Wow, really? By GoG version, do you mean just Bethesda's rerelease of it? I bought it before they removed it from the store and then put up the new version, but not sure if I've played it since then...

Edit: Hmm, just loaded the game up to check, and I don't see a single child in Shady Sands. This is weird and dumb. So I guess in addition to nuclear war, there was some sort of Children of Men style catastrophe.

I have got Fallout 2 on GOG and there were those stealing children. At least, last time I played. Fallout 1 no children though, I don't remember seeing any.

if i'm not mistaken, all european releases of fallout 1 had invisible children but fallout 2 had them like normal, except for the german version. invisible children would still steal your items in the den  and you could still accidentaly kill them in fallout 1, for example, if you throw a grenade at someone and a child happens to be nearby. very unlikely but possible
german version also censored chem-reliant and chem-resistant traits and didn't have gore. in fallout 1, you can't get stealth-boy because the corpse doesn't appear and you can't finish the quest in broken hills because the corpse you have to get the letter from is missing. it also had localized voice-acting which words can't even begin to describe, so the german version is definitely not the version to go

by the way, if anyone else here is interested in languages, the russian version also had localized voice-acting and they did pretty good job with it. but, for some reason, it feels too surreal to hear people talking russian in fallout. and polish version of fallout tactics was surprisingly good, check it out

Oh man, that sucks. I would've preferred if they just made them invincible or something. At least that would cut less content.
