He's like the Rob Liefeld of movies. Oh man, now I'm imagining a Deadpool movie written by Liefeld and directed by Boll. IT WOULD BE LITERALLY TOO GLORIOUS TO BEHOLD

Guys, do you really want me to get in on this discussion again? I have a whole set of Sherman facts to back up my arguments.

I always thought Downfall was way overrated.
The film, Downfall, is overrated perhaps. The Hitler Reacts meme with the resubtitled scene, however, is a brilliant method of cultural examination as well as wonderful mockery of Nazis. And if anyone deserves mockery its Nazis - past or present. I mean they couldn't even accept the theory of relativity just because Einstein was jewish. Ridiculous people deserve ridicule.

There was an outrage about the Downfall-film, it mainly came from US where certain groups felt that it painted Hitler in a too positive light, made him too human. Then again, he was a human, and in a way that's what makes him horrible. He was not some evil robot, or monster. Just some guy.

Also, a bit strange how US should be telling Europe how and what type of movies we should make.

It's less brilliant when you actually understand German.

Yeah, it kinda ruins the joke.
Speaking of Downfall, Falling Down is still a brilliant movie in my opinion. People tend to misunderstand it, though.

Also, in hightlight of recent events, this movie actually wasn't as bad as I thought. If only for Christoper Walken.

Funny. I just got Sugar Tits to watch Falling Down and Event Horizon. She loved them both. Recently watched Logan and I liked it a lot.

I advise anyone in a persistent funk to take a break from social media from time to time.

So Wonderwoman was really good and fun. DC finally seems to have arrived to what they were trying to do with their "cinematic universe" and without having to reduce it to a farcical 2 hour gag like Marvel has done.

Now, it still applies what I said before, superhero movies usually aren't above 6/10 for me, so WW does get a 6 out of 10. It has some really good weighty action and it does more with it's war setting than Captain America did with it's WW2 setting. Whereas CA just basically pretended racial segregation wasn't a thing back then and quickly supplanted the nazis for Hydra, WW actually addresses the fact that some of the guys in their trademark Racial Diverse 2000 cast were soldiers because their ethnicity didn't allow for them to have any other path in life other than joining the army and the war isn't supplanted by the Legion of Doom or some shit. Characters die, there are down moments where something actually affect the heroes and such. It's kinda like an actual movie. Hell they even do a competent less goofy version of the cliche the first Thor movie was built upon, the fish out of water thing.

It still had it's share of problems like all Superhero movies, namely, while I liked Ares as a Villain the confrontation with him at the end is kinda lame, specially compared to the action of earlier scenes and he jusst kinda becomes a screeching bad guy when Diana raises above him.

TL/DR It's not as good as Logan but it is pretty good for a superhero movie.

I saw it and it still felt like a Zack Snyder film, it just had an understanding of its characters and a better script, but it's still littered with Zack Snyder's visual style.
