There's a lot to be excited about right now.

Just to make TB's stance on Doom 4 SP clear:

That does look surprisingly fun gameplay-wise. What does keep putting me off is just how bland it looks, visually.

I agree with the earlier statement that Doom should have some horror elements. Doom was the first horror game I played. It could scare the shit out of me as a kid. This new Doom is so bright, no darkness. The gore looks plastic and there's just too much of it. Yes, it's supposed to be over-the-top, but there's so much of it that it loses effect completely. The enemies all look the same to me. And the color palette is so fucking boring.

Is there any good reason to be excited? Being excited is only good if you are a masochist who like to be disappointed, and make bad decision by throwing away your rationality.
I guess, the issue is that most of us here are children of the 90s. We where promised a lot of things with the milenium. And? What did we got? Not even the computer crash turned out to be true, no apoclapyse, and we are still not on Mars yet. The fuck!

it indeed in limited cheat mode, if you look closely enough the gauss rfle have "infinite" ammo. the health also doesnt seem to reduce below 50 point

however, if this were disabled, then surely the guy is just screwed. cause one hit is like 75-60 and that is from imp alone

Considering my roommate was playing on Hurt Me Plenty, yet not being hurt very much from fireballs and close range melee, I disagree. It would only be so if that player was not a shooter person, OR if Ultra Violence on up doesn't affect AI or spawn numbers but health pools.

Otherwise, the ending is the laziest part, in comparison to everything else that is boring me about this game.

What I'm super stoked for...

question is, will this gal showed up as "special Contract" ? :D

since the ending in trailer match with concept art of the dlc itself

There's a difference between liking videogames and gobbling up whatever marketing hype BS the marketing departments are pushing on consumers with the next mediocre game that lives up to none of the expectations.

Have we already forgotten the hype train of Fallout 4 and how disappointing that was? It was only a few months ago. This cycle repeats over and over again.

i'm gonna make this short

he loves the singleplayer, period. even if he's the avid critic of multiplayer itself.
so 9/10 score is easily given.
shadow of mordor is regarded by some people as "sleeper" hit in 2014.
So $5 Steam sale bargain bin? If it's really bad you might not have to wait long.

Hey, I happen to like videogames!
Well there's good games and bad games.

I like the way, how this guy thinks!

Aight, just picked up Doom for PS4. Thanks Redbox.

First thoughts:

+ Game starts literally 10 seconds after cutscene

+ Fast movement

+ somewhat smart AI

+ lots of difficulty options

+ Great models

I just picked it up. Like 10 seconds ago. I will post more about the game.

Are you fucking kidding me? The new DOOM has more lore than Fallout 4.

Holy shit.

Oh, and here's also some review-y stuff:

+Music is great

+Combat is fluid

+AI did get smarter, died a couple times actually

+Interesting lore

+Lots of lore

+Silent character = perfect

I am so glad that Doom-guy isn't talkative. It's just not who he is.

Why couldn't these guys help with Fallout 4?

Yeah, Doom is a pretty great game.

8/10 -not a real rpg

No Man's Sky might be a roguelike, but Star Citizen is where it's at!

Plus I hear from the folks at doomworld that DOOM is actually great.

With the next game, they should also let them do the story part. And the gameplay. And testing. And all the other stuff ... infact, they should not even allow Todd and Emil to be in the same room with anything that's even remotely Fallout.
like i said somewhere before, there's no way bethesda worth in contributing to fallout development. the gameplay and engine+graphic(Doom Is regarded as the most optimized release so far behind frostbite and Fox engine) id could do it better, story; arkane studio curb stomp definitely over bethesda.

Right from the start I held hopes for DOOM 4. The New Order was great and this looked along the same lines. Then there was all the cries from people who haven't actually played DOOM of "It's not fast enough!!!". Now, I recently re-played DOOM and DOOM II. They're nowhere near as fast as people make them out to be. From the way some talk about it you'd think that it the whole game is a super-sonic blur.

DOOM 4 looks legitimately good. I'm definitely gonna pick it up.

Yes, they are. If it isn't fast enough you aren't playing it right.

They're really not.

Literally google any gameplay of the original DOOM games (And not the Brutal DOOM mod) and they're not as fast as people make them out to be. Take for example the first result on YouTube for "DOOM II gameplay"

Does that look fast to you?
