Things That Serve No Point

I wish they did more with East City Downs. It's a robot racetrack for godsakes, it'd be great to enter Codsworth in. The weird thing about Bethesda is that they come up with locations that could be cool and add some replayability to their games, and they just make them kill fests instead.

I'll just repeat my theory - the game's development might have been fine at first, aiming at an improved Fallout 3 even if still not as good as New Vegas, then somehow the decisions were made to turn the game towards things that were currently popular, i.e. Minecraft and Destiny. When you have to change that much, a lot of work needs to get scrapped, which is why "six years of development" felt like a rushed one year - possibly because work from those early years got thrown down the bin just as it was almost complete.

Watch every single "Bethesda plays" video in their channel and you'll see that their employees (the ones that aren't Todd and Emil, I mean) are not very enthusiastic about the game. Fallout 4 got drained, it was more wasted potential than any other game was because the early bits they scrapped were scrapped very close to the release date.

Vertibirds, all they do is crash all the time in order to make the world feel more alive. Maybe with survival they will actually matter, but in the base game they suck.

Plus wouldn't they be rare seeing as you have to manufacture them and their components in a dedicated aircraft manufacturing plant.
You can't just put them together from metal frames welded together in a workshop and put components from salvaged cars and perhaps the one or two planes you come across.

The Enclave had access to pre war standards manufacturing facilities they probably have been upgrading since the War, the BOS on the East Coast had to do with what they could salvage.
Even their own Power Armor is what they found in the armories of destroyed military bases.

Eh, going by Fallout 4 logic you can construct magical teleportation machines out of scrap, I'm sure Vertibirds are easier to build than matter transportation technology.

Just get some oil, screws, gears, springs and steel and you can make a vertibird... ok maybe in the future BoS Wasteland Workshop DLC together with the craftable Liberty Prime you can romance :lmao:

Fallout 4 doesnt seem to have any real purpose in and of itself. It was made with too many people in mind none of whom were fallout fans. Its not a sequel either its basically a spinoff of a spinoff. And last but not least it doesnt add much anything new to the universe. What it does add is ither shallow or garbage. In fact it mostly takes away from the lore.

Remember, they repaired Optimus Prime with old toasters and cameras.

I thought it was sensor modules and cameras. Either way that seems like it'd have mostly to do with eyesight and that thing was in fuckin pieces. So the reality is no less ridiculous though

You wouldn't have thought that strategic technology would be readily available to your closest
Super-Duper Mart so that civilian can build their own version of war mech in their backyard. Military and industrial used to be more secretive with their latest innovation even in time of peace.

I mean you could be charged for industrial spying and treason if you tried to make a flight sim that accurately simulate the latest AESA radar, or the flight characteristic of the F-22. Well you wouldn't even get to know the color of the seat, since even this is classified as TOP SECRET.

Did you know that you can make nukes out of toasters, kid's toys and some uranium?

I knew it! They have been screwing us all this time on telling how complex it is to make a nuclear fission device.
Now the people can finally have their own nuclear weapons to defend themselves from the government and their neighbors.

They should've made everybody including their neighbors armed to the teeth with nukes, then say the war started because two neighbors got into a fight then nuking both of their houses causing a domino effect nuking the entire world. It would fit the "stick three items together and call it a nuke" shit. Would fit the wacky tone like the rest of the game.

Most thing in game. Especiallly diamond city. It add next to nothing to the game. The vendors all' suck except the robot ones, seriously who bought chems and bat ? the only quest worthwhile is diamond city blue/confident quest and nothing else. And then the upper stand.. which suck. Ann codman is totally useless to the game. Many named npc are totally useless. Marowski is TOTALLY useless.

i'd like people to stop treating todd as an incompetent producer. As you know, todd produced most of the elder's scroll game, which included the famous morrowind and oblivion which, the two, are considered the best TES game. He is not lame. The game is intentionally dumbed down.
