Things we learned from Fallout 3

maybe the rads in the meat kill the worms in FO3.

Also... with so much radiation in the players body... it might be hard for any bacteria to survive <smile>

But won't that also result in the benevolent bacteria dying as well, like in the gut? I mean, not all bacteria is harmful. Some are actually needed. Not to mention that if there was enough radiation in the PC's body to kill bacteria, then all of the cells would die as well. It makes no sense!

But then again, this is a game where you can gain an ability that basically makes you into a walking A-Bomb, so go figure.

maybe thats why all the pants are brown... no good bacteria.

Not only is it post apocalyptic... but it is a skid mark hellscape
Coming 2012: Skid Mark Bandits, a post apocalyptic action adventure game.

Things we learned from Fallout 3

That nobody else, can make such a great game.
I'm waiting for the next game comes out.

is this serious or not?

Anyway,

632: Guns break and are unusable after firing a few hundred rounds.

I think he was serious, but didn't understand the purpose of this thread, or its intended format.

633: Through unexplained means, the decline of civilization has resulted in humanity losing all sense of basic economics. Highly prized items (like medicine) are cheaper than most common services like sub-par repair jobs.

634: Escaping from a Government designed bomb shelter that was inherently designed never to be opened can be done with relative ease.

-EDIT- 635: Radio DJ's who rip their style off of Wolfman Jack can change the world.

636: The radio DJ is a fanboy of yours, and cares nothing for the rest of the Wasteland, but he does care that you give a bottle of water to some random beggar.

637: A man wearing either a massive, powered steel suit, or one wearing a massive, electrified, powered steel suit, are still easy prey for a 10 mm pistol.

639: A small trading town just north of the mutant and raider infested ruins, where no one passes through on a regular basis, is supposedly one of the most prosperous places in the wasteland.

641: Bathesdas interpretation of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L system is a violation of trust. (Having 1 strength being able to carry 19.200 lbs and still walk around).

642. Speaking of which, with Intelligence of 1 you can still speak intelligently and fluently with everyone on the planet.

Ha I never even thought about that!

Somebody should make a mod to address it :D

This was during the Nuka Cola Challenge quest, when you're talking to Sierra about Quantum.

Lone Wanderer: [Medicine] If it's radioactive, then it can't be safe to drink.

Lol, that needed a Medicine skill check to know?

What's even funnier is the statement out of context is a very oversimplified version of a complex problem. Certain amounts of radiation are fine, there are different forms of radiation, safe is a relative term, etc etc.

Yeah, I just found it funny that the Player Character required medical knowledge to know that:

Radioactive stuff= Not that good for your body!
