Things we learned from Fallout 4

Pete did tweet that Beth has a yet to be announced DLC after Far Harbor. They really should set it in what was Canada.

Nah, I think Emil's convinced himself he's following lore just fine. Plus, with encouragement from his buddy Pete, he's decided realism doesn't matter in a post-apocalyptic game with talking mutants and zombies.

Realism doesn't matter. But once you lay down the rules of your universe you're supposed to f****** follow them. as any good writer could tell you.

Emil's…not exactly what I'd call a good writer. Besides, he wasn't one who layed down the laws, they were layed down by actually good writers.

A little off topic but... The s'lanter were supposedly well written but were cut from fo1 because of clashing themes and felt generaly unfallout-y.How much would be cut from Bethesda Fallout games if they follow the same logic?

Nothing. Bethesda has no logic.

I've learned that as long as your company has a reputation for making shitty, buggy, and boring games, you can still sell these games and make millions of dollars.

^This.

Its always baffled me how an entire fanbase can be so incapable of *being even slightly dissapointed with anything.

They likely fear getting torn apart by the hive mind and/or because they don't want to discourage Bethesda with criticism(pffftt like they give a shit).

I wouldn't call it being torn apart... Ive tried to reason with them and after a while i realized you cant argue with retarded logic like that. Then i found this place and it was like: welcome home

The Bethesda fanbase is (for the most part) seeped in a tribal mentality, they perceive any criticism as an attack upon their values and beliefs. You see the same kind of mindset in console fanboys, if someone says one's better than the other then they flip.

Pretty much how I felt when I first found NMA, lol. I knew of the place from a long time ago but starting really reading posts and things when researching for my Fallout 3 retrospective/fixing their shit series and decided it was worth signing up. Still here :D

Fallout 4 is just like a really badly made large mod made by that mod guy you've never heard of from Latvia with 27 posts to his name.
