Things you *aren't* pleased to see

Well, if other think so... I personally like the Remnants Power Armor in New Vegas much more than my clunky thing. It has a better texture, a better model, etc. pp.

- Lack of complete idiot conversation options if you have abysmal intelligence.

Well, you don't get the "ughs" but I do get some stupid lines with my INT2 character on occasion. Not sure what decides when I get them though. Thus far, the one time I noticed it happen is talking to that scientist at HELIOS one.

I've finished the game twice already and didn't get a PA neither did I want to get it. Do you need power armor training again?

Yes, you need power armor training. But you can get it in more than only one place, which is good. Also power armor is pretty rare, which I like too.

In my case, I got the training right after I got the armor, and in the same place too - through a companion quest. You're missing out if you never did that quest - it's one of the better ones in the game.

Not sure how it works out if you get the armor from the Brotherhood, but hopefully it's the same way. That'd minimize the inconvenience from the "training".

APA also looks extremely cool. A bit top-heavy though.

Also, is it just me or is PA helmet pretty much useless? Trading 1CHA for +5 RAD res. is hardly fair.

From the brotherhood, you will get the trashcan from Fallout 3. I've throw it away right after I got it.

I think that guy who was making a high res model had a good one going, but he disappeared off the face of the Earth never completing the project.

Disappointed they don't help you wield heavy weapons as much though. Power Armour stats could use a balanced tweak so you get a reasonable STR/RAD bonus.

- Lack of npc responses to seeing me in power armor

Oh there is a response alright, the response is that the entire armed wing of the NCR thinks "Hey there is one of those assholes" and proceeds to light you up like a Christmas tree.

In which companion quest can you find APA?
I'm not really into companions (seriously, AI always sucked in will suck forevermore), so how about a tip which companion to seek out?
The APA is pretty much the best thing in the world and I need it :D
/edit: What I'm really not pleased to see are those goddamn rage virus zombies. They are so annoying. Man, I thought ghouls were necrotic and slow and not insanely fast and jumpy oO

You'll need Arcade Gannon, in Freeside, and you'll need to have him around for a good chunk of the main quest.

The guns makes sense, if you accept that less restrictive clothing would boost agility (and thus boost guns) the +2 to guns is from clothes that are slightly more restrictive, but not as restrictive as say a suit.

The labcoat and the luck bonus on the naughty nightwear make less sense though.

Well - thinking about it a bit more - and extending on your idea of how to represent the melee/gun bonuses onto the lad/mechanical outifts - it could simply mean you are 'readied' to do the work with small miscellaneous tools to assist you.

Instead of designing and coding a small number of irritating things to carry around (splints/gauze/etc.) to get the bonus, they simply give you a 'lab coat' that benefits you. Same could be done with the Mechincs outfit for repair. Though, I won't argue that the benefits are a little too overpowered at a +10.

Yeah, I thought that it was gonna be him.
That sucks, because I hate him already :D
Also it sucks because now I have to do more shit for the Followers to get him.
/edit: Man, I just realized that power armors still don't make you huge metal beasts. And that characters standing with their arms crossed in power armor look extremely stupid.
Goddamnit :(
Also, the german translation is unbearably horrible. Noone pronounces Caesar correctly. Why?? That is just an inexcusable mistake.

I just started and the only thing that really bugs me so far are all the dumb popup announcements.

Yeah, I know my character's leg is crippled and I need to see a doctor. I can see her limp. Same thing about wearing faction clothing. No need to remind me every five minutes (much less when I put it on or take it off!)

There's ways to get him w/o Followers rep. There's one speech check option (or science?), a low INT option, and a Confirmed Bachelor option.

One thing I notced was NPC can't wear factions clothing if there not part of a faction. I tryed to plant a ceasar's legion armour on someone on the strip, hoping they would change into it and get shot, it didn't work thought.

Thats something I am waiting for as well. I hoped very much for Obsidian to "work" on some of it making Power armor "power armor" again and not this crap platearmore thing. Exactly cause its now really rare compared to the other equipment. But it offers yet again so lidle in protection that its not funny anymore. One has to ask himself how the BoS could survive for so long with such "things" as protection ...

You know ... you could always try using the equip-item cheat that worked already on Fallout 3, which should force them to wear the armor. But I have no clue if the game will then as well move them to the said faction and people start shooting them.

Yeah, I know, but my speech is too low and my INT is too high. I consider taking the Bachelor option.
But I think I'll let the game rest for the week, university is taking up a lot of time and until I get my new CPU and mainboard the performance on my PC is just too shitty. It's no fun if it lags so hard that I can't kill anything outside of VATS.

@Big Iron references

I actually don't mind that song. The song that haunts my dreams is Johnny Guitar.

"dun dun dun dun dun like my JOHNNY!! OHHH JOHNNY GUITAAAARRR!"

God damn it, it belongs in a horror movie.

Christ, this. Big Iron is at least southwestern, but fuck Johnny Guitar. It's the biggest fucking drag. I was in a hard part once that took a lot of reloads, and I noticed on the fifth reload that Johnny Guitar was on every single time. Switched it to Mojave Radio, heard one of those upbeat guitar tunes, and finished my firefight alive.

Just visited the airport and.... Airplanes don't have any doors. How do pilots get in them? Do they just teleport inside? It's bugging me.
