It seems as though more people are deeply upset by the election of Trump, no question. Which I can kinda understand, while I do not condone violence in any form.
That video where the guy's car gets stolen is pretty bad and should be given to the police, not shared on Facebook. It's hard to judge in what context it actually happened.

I'm confused at the idea Social Justice Warriors wouldn't be concerned about the catastrophic conditions of America's working class and their lack of representation. Indeed, the whole point of Occupy Wallstreet was based around the principles of trying to retake economic control of the country.

I just don't really have anything else to say in regards to BuxBaum666. He seems to think it's okay for the Left to be so upset about Trump winning that rioting is justified even though Trump really didn't do much wrong, but whatever. It's not worth my time to argue something as morally objectable as that, no one's going to change anyone's mind here anyway. I just want to go back to posting Trump memes and celebrating the fact that we won. Trump winning was the cure for my writer's block and depression all in one day.

Frankly, the depiction of the protests as riots is disingenuous. I'm less than fond of flag-burning to say the least but attempts to make college activism into something deserving of riot gear is extremely questionable. The only person who has been hurt is a protestor hit by a car during this. I lived fifteen years on a campus and this is about as crazy as a particularly close football game.
I also think there's plenty of people who have a right to be scared. The children of illegal immigrants who Trump has threatened to send "back" to Mexico despite the fact they were born in the USA, the fact many people I know already depend on the ACA including my wife who had $40,000 in medical bills paid by it to get vital surgery as well as my best friends father who has dementia, and fact Trump has simultaneously said to want America to be less interventionist while claiming to want to go after the families of Jihadist--not at all likely to radicalize people as we've seen in Israel.
Dismissing the concerns of individuals is pretty much how the Democrats lost the election in the first place.
You can't go "you're a bunch of butthurt social justice warriors" if you're complaining about the Left calling rural states ignorant racists and patriarchs. You can but it's not exactly raising the tone of the conversation. I hadn't enough eyerolls for the Left when they claimed the reason Trump won was because his supporters were less educated and driven solely by racism. It was a fundamental inability to engage with the opponent's worldview and the attitude opposite isn't much better.
