Tyranny Discussion Thread

How DARE you! One cannot just be Caesar, one has to work FOR Caesar. That is the only way.
Then make a character named Edward Sallow in Tyranny that has his abilities, features and traits when he began creating Caesar's Legion. Their world could use their own Caesar (plus it would mean bringing about a direct form of the Roman Empire early on in the setting).

In two words: RP-ing Caesar.

Jokes on you! I blaspheme Sallow on a regular basis!

But seriously, I do wonder if you can shape how your rebellion operates whether you can plan out how you want to operate as a new empire should the rebellion succeed.

:hatersgonnahate:
Yeah that would be interesting but kind of ambitious as well. Also, it's not gonna be an empire.

Pre-load for Tyranny is now available on Steam! Here's what I can tell you about the size of the game officially:

It says the disk size required is 12,132 MB, which is a little over 12 gigabytes. For me it would take 3 hours and 22 minutes to load on my old computer from 2010, though I don't know about my new computer as I had to go home to vote and my super computer is back at college.

Ooh, I'm excited! Do you need steam for the game?

According to @eissa it's also on GoG.com. I only use Steam so I can't really confirm other gaming sites you could get it at. It is PC exclusive if that helps.

Also for size comparison, Tyranny will be a bit over 12 GB while Pillars of Eternity was (and granted this is with both parts of the White March installed so this may be off by a few gigabytes) 14 GB. So around the same size, which is a good thing as Pillars is honestly pretty huge despite looking small world map-wise.

Didn't the first warning lights for DA2 come from DAO Awakening Expansion? Of maybe even Mass Effect 2?
Awakening was alright (aside from being over-priced and 2 was acceptable as a game. Then again, I didn't try to judge future games based on current games (a practice that is starting to fail thanks to recent releases).

ah come on..this thing is exist https://www.reddit.com/r/TyrannyGame/comments/5b3qbq/cant_shake_the_feeling/

and so far, this is works for me, for any games release.
My advice (do what you will with it); hold on to that skepticism and doubt. It works well to doubt that a product will be completely perfect. Being over-hyped and unreasonably optimistic never works too well when expecting something from a product.

Gonna make a very Scarlet Chorus friendly conquest.
Gonna do what comes naturally. Maybe Kyros loyal or Independent.

Since my review will probably be the very first on NMA (at least by an actual member) what run do you guys want to hear about? I'll most likely only play through it fully once before I do the interview, but once should be enough to gauge whether the game's good or bad and whether it feels like there's going to be plenty of replayability or not.

The factions we know of so far (Pick only 1):

The Scarlet Chorus

The Disfavored

The Rebellion

Independent
