Map speed is too slow

I have the newest installer of your patch and the map speed is awfully slow. i set th WorldMapDelay=1 but its still as slow as with WorldMapDelay=0 any suggestions?
I read the readme :@ doesnt help at all and as far as i see there is no solution for Quickening the travel speed for the killaps patch.
 
Read the readme file and read other posts in this thread.

The issue has been discussed many many times.
 
After I had given Jet antidote to doc in Redding i went to see McLure in VC. I talked about Redding to him, but could only say that doctor (the one from VC) created an antidote, and he told me to take it to Redding as fast as possible. Don't know why this happens, but it may be because i had one more doze of antidote in inventory.
 
1.After getting the quest from Lynette to deliver the holodisk to westin, the quest does appear in the Pip Boy. However, when I go talk to Westin, my only dialog option is "oops". In other words, though I'm supposed to give him the disk, I cannot.

2.The combat implant upgrades done by Dr.Fung in San Fran are still broken. That is, they do nothing.

The WorldMapDelay value is broken. A couple pages back I discussed this with Killap (as the world map seemed too slow to me too, and I got into far too many random encounters). Haven't heard anything more from him recently on it, though (if he discovered what the problem was, if there's going to be a fix, etc.), even though I've pestered him numerous times in this thread. :P

The WorldMapDelay value is broken. A couple pages back I discussed this with Killap (as the world map seemed too slow to me too, and I got into far too many random encounters). Haven't heard anything more from him recently on it, though (if he discovered what the problem was, if there's going to be a fix, etc.), even though I've pestered him numerous times in this thread. :P
I haven't forgotten about this issue. I have not had the chance to sit down and debug it fully, but I will. The time that I have spent on Fallout recently has been fixing the fairly large list of issues that has been posted in the last ten or so pages. It is going to take me some time to fix all of them since some are quite strange to debug fully. I will get to everything though. No fears. 8-)
 
Playing with new install, official patch and latest version of Killap's patch. Noticed a couple of bugs.

1) I think it may have been mentioned already, but when talking to Slim in Trapper Town, telling him that you are going to help with the rat problem results in him saying he will give you the key, but he doesn't actually give it to you. You can still barter it from him. I didn't check all the other ways of getting it.

2) When confronting Joey in The Den about Anna's stolen locket, selecting the dialog option to scare him with Anna's revenge (need intelligence 6 I think) results in Joey responding with the same line he would have if you had offered to pay him for it. I can't check the dialog files right now, but I'm pretty sure he is meant to say something else and just hand the locket over.

Sulik's throwing ability is really annoying, at least in the early part of the game, because I usually give him a sharpened spear instead of the sledgehammer, and he likes to throw it away a lot (he also took to using flares as a weapon before I confiscated them). I really don't believe that Sulik's ability to use thrown weapons was an intended but unimplemented feature. The animation Sulik uses is a generic one, so the fact it has animation frames for throwing proves nothing about the devs' intentions for Sulik. I would make this part of an expansion rather than the patch.
 
TV Dinner, if you dont want sulik throwing his weapons, dont set his combat preference to none. I have no problems with Sulik while using him with killap's patch.
 
Aye, just make sure his combat preference is set to "Melee" or "Melee then Ranged" and you shouldn't have a problem with him throwing his spear away or tossing flares instead of pulling out a sledge. I haven't had any problems with it.
 
The Vault 15 Guards do not use the granades even though they have them in inventory.

This has been reported already 8-) I checked all the ways and it's impossible to obtain the key just speaking to him. You have to steal or buy it. Or find the damn dog.

Yes, but when you do he just responds as if you offered to pay for it (You say something along lines of "Anna's ghost is going to come for you if you don't give up the locket" and he says something like "What? Oh yeah, that's right, you're going to have to pay me some serious cash" - you then get the choice to pay him $50, try to threaten him down to $20, or leave). I know there is another line and set of responses (where he just gives you the locket out of fear) that should come up here and I don't think there is meant to be a speech check to get it - anyway I tried about five times. In any case the line makes no sense coming when it does. I'm pretty sure it's not meant to be there. I don't have a full install atm so I don't have the dialog files to check, otherwise I'd find the missing line.

Thanks for the tip on Sulik guys. I will try it out.

Another bug: Vic's dialog seems to be bugged so that it isn't possible to ask him about where he got the water flasks. Right after I get him the dialog option presented is "Where is your friend Ed, again?", even though he's never mentioned Ed before.
 
Navarro:

- The door in the oil station leading to the room with the hatch to underground always make a sound like it is closed but it isn't.

- The Guard with talking head guarding Navarro main enterance says "I suggest you to leave this installation immediately and do not come back without proper authorisation" even after you tell him the proper password abtained from Chris in the oil station.


Msc:

- There is this annoying thing with the gravestones, when it's readable the game displays something like: "The gravestones reads: (some text)", and when it's not readable: "The gravestone reads: the text on thios gravestone is scratched\unreadable\etc". I think it shouldn't be like this.

- I have the One Hander trait and I noticed that H&K G11E (and therefore H&K G11 propably as well) rifle is treated like a two-handed weapon, even tough it looks like SMG in char's hand. In fact this weapon SHOULD be treated like an assault rifle because it is one, but I think it should look like a rifle in chars' hands if it was to be so in the game.

- When a member of Enclave patrol unit is uncontious and you leave the combat mode, the lieing soldier "speaks with the speed of the light". You better check this out yourself Killap, sothat you know what I mean...

Edit: The last one propably reffers to any other character that "talks" during battle (like highwaymen, yakyza members etc...)

You use the stairs in the tanker bar to get up to the second floor. They work for me.

thats the problem with it i cant use that stair, not green grid on that part to get me to the 2nd floor
There won't be an exit grid. If you use the bottom portion of the stairs it should work. Don't click high up, click lower.

1) In SAD some force emmiters can't be disabled by using repair on them.

2) There is this computer in SAD that can be used to take some (in our case brains only) organs from characters if they are in the room with the Organ Extraction Unit. If we use the line "proceed with extraction" we gain 500xp - no matter if someone was in the room or not. I don't think it should work this way.

3) In the computer mentioned before there is an option to scratch a new name of the species on it, but neither Mutant nor Deathclaw appear on the list of species avalible - each time we want to choose those species we have to scratch them one more time on the console. It is not logical if you ask me...

4) Hell! It came out that in SAD level 4 there is 'something' that causes some serious problems with the game. After you do 'this' some force fields can't be turned off (this reffers to point #1 in this post) and when you want to leave level 4 the game freezes.

I don't know extacly what is it but i suspect it may be using the computer operating the Extraction Unit. 3 times i Had to load previous savegame and the third time playing level 4 I didn't use this computer and everything seems to be OK.

Can you reproduce this consistently or at least pinpoint it more for me so it will be easier to locate and fix?
 
This error infected more locations somehow:/ I entered the Brotherhood Of Steel little vault in San Fran and when I want to get out... game freezes.

There was similar situation about year ago. I played with some previous version of your patch and couldn't get out of New Reno because of the same error.

Why don't you send me your email on PM so that I could send the save to you.

Ps: Reinstalling the game doesn't do any good.
 
This is quite possibly not a bug, but I'll ask about it anyway: I did the Lloyd quest and Renesco quest for the Salvatores. Now why aren't I getting the last quest? The boss just tells me that I've done as he asked, and to get the hell out. What am I doing wrong? I gave him the correct amount of money each time.
