UP and RP updates

Perhaps @burn doesnt phrase it well, however it's not the best idea to instal RPU on top of restoration project 2.3.3 .
RPU is a standalone restoration project pack, and does not require killap's 2.3.3 underneath it.

Installing RP2.3.3 and later on the latest RPU on top of it can cause problems mainly due to ammo files and applied ammo mod.
You see RP2.3.3 uses YAAM and RPU uses vanilla (at least i think so). mix matching ammo files and sfall damage mod settings, may cause glitches like this. Especially if using vanilla ammo files, and YAAM in ddraw.ini as damage formula. those -20DR from .223FMJ turn into -20DT which oddly, adds advanced power armor level damage thershold even to unarmored peasants. So zero damage hunting rifle aginst bandits is not result of some bug but it's the result of your fuckup.

OK I have done a clean install and have found the real culprit is the mod CUSTOM PERKS (not saying you are wrong, you also helped me clean up some mess but this bug is spèecifically cause because of a script file in Custom Perks mod)
I have made a new install with only RPU and it works.

Is it safe to install Weapons Redone by Magnus as well? He makes a lot of changes to Throwing, and energy weapons that I like.

AFAIK You've said you only had RP2.3.3 RPU and fo2tweaks, so custom perks is prolly something You've forgot to mention earlier. anyways You can't install 2 different mods that change the same thing or you'll encounter glitches.
As I said RPU has vanilla damage calculation definition, so You *could* in theory install one damage modifying mod.

As for How to do it properly check out the "Magnus's Weapons Redone" thread or however it is called, and look for answers there. If You can't find the answer, post in that thread.

This thread should be always on top like the UP/RP from killap and the threads of killap should be locked (and kept there, he deserves respect for all he did for us) but there is no point to keep the threads to his work alive unless he comes back.

Since burn won't merge my pull request on git and the weblate tool is unable to change the sound ID reference line (and it just makes no sense to overwrite MCS43alt.acm with MCS6a.acm, just to go around the shortcomings of the tool), I just link the small fix for the german versions (where Marcus has a line of french dialogue) here.
Just drop the file it into /data/text/german/dialog. Works with RP and UP German Marcus Dialogue fix
 
@burn An update of the first post of the thread could be quite useful, as with the sticky it has turned into a landing page/introduction to UPU/RPU (including UP/RP) for new people searching for mods. Maybe a short description of what these are, etc, like the previously stickied RP 2.3.3 thread plus a link to it for people who want to read more?

Ppl can help but you should post a savegame close to place/person where the problems happens to be analyzed by burn/others. ;)

Thanks for the reply, but i fixed the issue. In ddraw.ini ElevatorsFile=mods\elevators.ini instead of mods it was sfall\Elevators.ini :facepalm::mrgreen:

Good you were able to fix it. (althought i find strange about an elevator's bug that needs to be fixed by sfall, never read about this iirc)
 
In RPU download github, i saw the changelog and the version was updated at 19(v19).
but download file is older version (v18). when will the new file come up?

Changelog just reflects work in progress. V19 is not released yet. It's pretty much finished, but needs new sfall release. Latest WIP builds can be downloaded from github too, although you need a github account to see the links. You're free to try them, but keep in mind that WIP is WIP.
I'll update the first post when a new release is ready.

- Doors and containers can be trapped with explosives and pried open with a Crowbar.
- Faithful implementation of Karma Beacon and Cult of Personality (covering only a few starting cities for now)

Both UPU and RPU are updated to version 21. The only change is sfall version update to 4.3.0.1, which fixes some issues discovered in 4.3. If you are playing UPU or RPU v20, you can continue, but make sure to update sfall.

Suggestion: it would be good if there is a list of things that were already implemented by the restoration patch and fixed by the unofficial patch and what wasnt done yet, this is surely a good info to have (i know it must be a HELL of a job, i'll understand if it doesnt happen). ;)
