Wasteland 2 Kickstarter has launched

made my donation. wish I could afford more, but not having a job doesn't grant you many wishes.

I'm amazed the money is pouring in at sich a high pace. amazed and happy.

So far I have not F5'ed and seen the same number. I think we're going to be fine as long as that keeps up at least for the duration of today.

Anyone care to bet what the final amount will be, to the winer i will bake a cake. i think 3m total.

Looks like at this rate not only will they hit $250k today but they'll hit it probably within the next hour and a half.
 
I hope they will get 2 millions :) so they will be able to expand the world, also I hope they will make some documentary about how they make game like double fine

Hmmm ater 7 or 8 hours it is 200k+

I think DF managed to get $400k in the first 8h.. and 1 mil in the first day or two...

I hoped it would go faster with Wasteland, but as long as we get 1.5 mil I will be happy.

I think after release they will earn enough to go to their next project :) Which will be something new (but still cRPG).

True. W1 in the same engine as W2? Maybe it would not take too much time and money and would probably be funded through kickstarter.

I wish it would be so easy that they could make remake in the next 6 months so we could play it before w2 release.... BLAST!

Well, expecting it to surpass Double Fine is not very realistic. But at the current rate, I'm pretty certain that the game will get at least the required $900k.
 
I don't mind playing it after 2; it wold feel nice to play 2, then play 1 as sort of a prequel, and finally play a long waited wasteland 3 in a few more years

would feel good
 
I'd prefer something new rather than a remake. And I'm not even sure if they'd be allowed to make a remake, given that EA still has some rights to the original game.

EA being EA, if this game succeeds, perhaps they will remake the original or even entrust inXile with making it.
 
EA can't remake it themselves since inXile has rights to the Wasteland trademark, but they still have some rights to the original game itself.

I have an idea, though. Maybe EA should now make Fountain of Dreams 2? :)
 
Yea, thought about this as well with FalloutNow! folks. :p But we aren't enough to raise enough money.
