What games are we looking forward to?

In comparison, their "Divinity II: Ego Draconis" sold more on xbox than original sin, while getting reviews like this:

IGN scored it a 4.8 out of 10, stating "I can’t recommend the Xbox 360 version of this product to anyone."
Wow, even IGN trashed it. That's something you don't see with consoles everyday... Ouch.

You don't like most games, so this does not surprise me...
I should change my title back to what I used to go by, far more fitting.

...however the game has stood the test of time, since many people still play it even after 16 years.
So?

Just.... take a look at this, and follow it.
Follow it where? I read a page and a half of trite. I ain't reading any more than that. It shows nothing substantial.

Well, from most of my experiences, many games that had simultaneous release, had flashy trailers and all that, only to get released in a gimped version to balance that of the console's (see: Dark Souls 2, the Witcher 3, there were some changes to Wasteland 2 Director's Cut due to console from what I've heard).
Uh-huh, but this whole thing that Fargo's got going with Kickstarter isn't exactly conventional is it? So your past experiences don't really mean a whole lot. And I see absolutely zero changes to Wasteland 2 due to its console release. Nothing was cut as far as I can see. Stuff was 'added' and the already bad UI got a bit less bad.

The game's initial delivery was December 2014. It was eventually pushed back to Q4 of 2015, and then 2016, and now Q1 of 2017.
Really? Now that could most definitely be a cause for concern.

This is remain to be seen. I admit I'm don't have experience in the whole market of PC-console gaming industry, to but from what little I could experienced many PC version were gimped in favor of console (see: No Man's Sky).
So, it is baseless speculation then? Like, it happened with other games therefore it automatically has to happen for Torment?

Seriously? Just follow those thread and read again what Bubbles said. This whole stuff is bullshit, if you really paid attention to it. In a twist of irony, though, the Codex guy who's supposedly fucked up this whole thing were actually inXile's biggest sycophant.
"if you really paid attention to it"
By that, do you mean reading too much into things? Cause that's what it is sounding like to me. Finding stuff that isn't there. I ain't reading through a bunch of that garbage. 1 and ½ page was more than enough shit shoveled down my throat. I don't like the layout, I don't like the font and I don't like the colour palette of that forum, I'm not punishing myself so I can find a needle in a haystack. Either post something concrete (screenshot the posts with actual merit and the context in which they're posted) or stop bringing it up.

Read again on both of their answers. It sounded way too similar.
I read them both just fine the first time, they sound similar, so what? Like, have you never ever 'ever' had 2 people give you the same answer when asked independently? Mountains out of molehills... Mountains out of fucking molehills, man.

Oh, yes, not me, but the Codex certainly do. Like I said, they raised ~$5000 for Torment, so it's only make sense they would pay close attention and be vigilant to the updates and development logs of Torment 2 (and, in an extent, how inXile's doing along the way ever since Torment 2 got funded, especially since Brother None and sea still more frequently participate in there, more so than here).
Unless they got insider knowledge: No, they don't. What we 'do' have a is a bunch of paranoid cynics who are so hypercritical of shit that they're now reading into the teensiest bit of suspicion they got and blowing it out of proportion, making wild accusations at InXile.

Here's the thing Black Angel, there comes a point when you're simply too close to something to see things rationally. Their investment and their obsession with it could be the reason why they're freaking the fuck out over nothing.

All I'm saying is we have to be careful from now on. Look, I'm tired repeating my points, and you guys completely missing the point and misunderstanding the whole thing, all because I seemingly wanted to trash Torment 2, but there's something really fishy going on here. So, I repeat:

"Why would they cancelled the interview, for such a bullshit reason, if everything's okay?"

Just.... follow those threads in the Codex. Read up on the console announcement, and then the cancelled interview thread in inXile's Subforum. Some of the points of the messages there got missing as I brought the news to you guys, so I prefer you guys see it for yourselves.
And I'm getting tired of this conspiracy theory ya'll got going on over there.
The only thing you've posted that I find even remotely interesting that would add to any suspicion is the delays on the release date and the lack of transparency when it came to the Techland deal. That's it.
Everything else that you've posted? It is completely baseless.

Give me something I can sink my teeth into, cause what you've given me is the hole in the donut, and I gotta say that it was far from filling.

I remember some people complaining about the used fonts, but who gives a shit about that?
Now THAT I remember, what a useless fucking thing to bitch about.

[edit]

Oh and this really isn't the thread for us to bitch about this, create a separate thread if you really want to keep this going, @Black Angel

Mount&Blade: Bannerlord. Looks like a straight up improvement over Warband in every way. That makes it a must buy for me.

What was your title?
The one I currently have. :)

So you not liking it does not mean the procedural generation was badly implemented, it was successfull and players liked it enough to play the game for years.
No?
I'm not making any grand statements about it. You brought up Diablo II as an example, I merely gave my opinion that I didn't like it. That people are still playing after all of this time is meaningless to me. Personally I would've preferred a pre-built world and I think it would've made the game far better. Diablo II is just a bunch of repetitive scenery sprinkled in with monsters and the occasional set piece IMO.

I had no idea that an unsuccessful bromance with superman would have such a long lasting effect on you.

"don't like" and "can't fucking stand" are not interchangeable :D.

dont worry, its a 9 writer project with previous two decent writer (and chris himself) providing development.
I'm not too worried about Divinity or Tyranny (though I still retain a pragmatic amount of worry to not be hyped about it). It's Dishonored and Deus Ex Mankind Divided I'm more worried about.

I mean, I know E3 trailers aren't the best place to get information, but Dishonored 2 was pretty much the star of the show. I'm pretty sure they kept everyone except Steve Powers from the last game, and it's got the same director. If you liked 1 I don't see much cause for concern in regards to 2, as it has much of the same team as far as I'm aware, but you could know something I don't...

I'm always trying to be cautious when it comes to any game even if I like said game. It's counter-productive to be over-hyped about anything since what you imagine is always going to be better and more impractical than the final product (the case in point being every overhyped mess out there like for instance, Fallout 4 or No Man's Sky).

That said, I hope my fears for Dishonored 2 would amount to nothing and I do indulge in hype every now and again. Like the hype for Stephen Russell being Corvo's voice actor.

the story of dishonored might fine if its your average assasin creed style revenge plot, but the world itself is definitely superior than elder scroll or witcher.

The unexplored world is probably why Dishonored is getting a viable sequel. There's a lot to it left untold (though the short stories do flesh it out like the one story about the Outsider).

Some of Dishonored 2 did feel a little bit like a rehash of Dishonored 1. It has been a while though since I last saw the trailer.

And yeah, I understand the concerns about Deus Ex Mankind Divided. I liked Human Revolution but it was definitely not up to par with Deus Ex 1. Augmentation was only one of the many issues in that game's story and in HR it became the main focus (even prostitutes on the streets were talking about it a lot)
Almost nothing regarding general politics, social issues and so on.

Well I think it is save to assume that the gameplay in general will be better than the average action-adventure game that is released these days.
I love games like Deus Ex but except for older titles there has not been anything like it on the PC for quite some time. (please don't bring up the Bioshock games)

I have not checked out all the indies but in general it has been a poor year though when it comes to major releases.
I wonder if there has been any release almost all of us here on NMA agreed we liked.
