I grew up in a weird time when Star Trek was only in reruns, and these fat old guys with bad toupees and one foot in the grave kept making movies. Also James Bond was Roger Moore. Odd times. But that's who I identify with. TNG is superior for sure, but TOS really grabbed my imagination.

I've been Netflixing TNG lately, the early stuff hasn't aged all that much better than TOS - a lot of it is like the same 'paper-mache rocks on a studio lot' and laughable latex facial prosthetics look that TOS had. And whenever they go outside, no matter what planet, it always looks like SoCal.

It will keep it's quality, for the most part at least. It gets really good with the Kardashians in my opinion.

Hey guys,

I have been wanting to show you this for a while now but I was so distracted by other things (things with purpose and pointless things) that I completely forgot to do this until now.

I would like to show you guys some of my most favorite and cherished Star Trek possessions; parts of my Star Trek comic collection (the ones I think are worth showing) and some of my Star Trek ships.

Gotta say, I always liked the design of the Voyager best. Just looks least fragile.

I honestly didn't mind this change in Star Trek, that the Starfleet designs lost their 'necks' :D
So many of the DSN/VGR/First Contact movie designs I really like.

Star Trek Armada 3 is where it is at guys. All kinds of ships you can build and the Borg will fuck your shit up.

* sigh * I hate the damn Kirk and Spock slash and I can't for the sake of it think of a reason why people would come up with that stuff other than "Man, I am gay and I honestly wish a couple of famous characters were openly gay and in love to be able to relate to them more/feel more represented."
I really do not mean that insulting to homosexuals.

But it was clear from the get go that Kirk and Spock are straight and that they had a deep friendship it was more on the side of brotherly.

I have no problem with gay people existing in the Star Trek universe and openly admitting their they prefer the company of men but I hate this kind of appropriation.
Just create a couple of new characters you feel represent a group or community that is not represented yet.

I wonder, back when the Sherlock Holmes books came out, were there also fans writing Holmes and Watson slash?

Edit: properly? problem
Edit 2: Though? that should be 'that'. What is up with me and grammar mistakes these days?
