@Crni Vuk and Walpknut
But you guys say the same damn thing though.
'Look at all the U.S. bases around the world. If the U.S. does it, Russia and China should too'. Not only that, you have repeatedly said that Chinese and Russia expansion is perfectly understandable because, 'the U.S. does it too'.
A bit hypocritical much? I mean, I could get all arrogant and say that two wrongs do not make a right. I could say, that just because the west does something, doesn't mean it s good for everyone else. But, and let us be honest here, that would be stupid. The world doesn't run on idealism.
The topic isn't about how the government of the PRC and Russia works, it is about their desire to compete against the U.S. The fact that Putin created the CSTO, his involvement in Ukraine and Syria, SHOWS, unequivocally, that he wants to Make Russia Great Again. The PRC as well, has big plans for Asia. This is simply reality, nations COMPETE with one another.
I will say again, even in a world where things were switched, a world where the SU and its allies won the cold war, things will largely play out the same way. HISTORY ITSELF, shows that there will ALWAYS be a HEGEMON. There will ALWAYS, be a country that is 'fucking shit up'.
In our past discussions, you have flat out said that you think a Russian or Chinese hegemony would be better than a U.S. one. I, of course, think that is absolutely ludicrous but hey, that's just my opinion.
Again, I think science and technology will get us to Star Trek one day, hopefully soon, but definitely not now. Right now, it is either U.S. hegemony or a power vacuum with Russia, China, India, and whoever the fuck else, competing with each other in an endless series of proxy wars. It proved correct in the past, I have no doubt in my mind it would through the present and the near future.
