Didn't stop him from ordering the research and industrial production of nerve agents (mostly Tabun, Sarin and Soman came too late to have been produced in really significant quantities [not that 30 tonnes of Sarin were harmless...]).
The UK didn't have nerve agents yet, only the "classic" chemical weapons like mustard gas, chlorine gas, or phosgene. But yeah, Brooke said that they'd use mustard gas on their beaches in case of invasion.
Churchill liked the idea of using gas against "uncivilised tribes" in Iraq, though. The main reason there was no official use of chemical weapons in WW2 (besides by Japan against China) was all around fear of retaliation by the other side, and not wanting to be the first to use them. Given that Germany had the more advanced nerve agents, so that might have been a very good thing.
Also, Göring said that they didn't use nerve gas during the invasion of Normandy because the german logistics were still heavily based on horses, and they just couldn't make gas masks for horses.
Even Hitler did not sink as low as cooperating with Russia, though.
