Which difficulty do you like to play on?

I guess that is kind of lazy. But man, Broken Steel is epic so screw it.

Like I've said, I don't mind it. I'm actually kind of bothered that Obsidian nerfed Reavers for New Vegas.

I'm fucking GLAD NV nerfed ghouls.

Believe it or not, ghouls are fucking weak, they're mutated half rotting fucking people, what's next? Going to tell me a skeleton deserves 1000 fucking health points?

Broken Steel is stupid, they made an intentionally shitty ending, so people would spend more shekels on...Another shitty ending.

I get the feeling... you aren't very fond of Fallout 3. Impossible, everyone in NMA loves Fallout 3.

Fallout 3 has a few nice things.

And a whole lot of bad things.

For starters "Lets take Fallout 1-2, and literally include 0 canon weaponry! YEY!"

Unless the Fallout 3 you mean is the Van Buren, the true Fallout 3 for many of NMA members.
No, not everyone loves Bethesda's Fallout 3.

I actually like what they did with the weaponry in Fallout 3. They especifically got the point accross that these are different models not from the previous games which makes sense for there to be in such a highly militarized area as DC and it's neighboring super metropolises as opposed to the rural regions of California.

I see no violation in the lore here.

I'm sorry but from what I've researched about Van Buren, I wouldn't have liked that game. The plot is a bit silly and too out there and the 3D world does not capture the essence of what I consider Fallout to be.

I dislike the main character's origin and the whole "breeding" ghouls cult is... no.

Dude, its the east to west coast, not another entire fucking country.

If it was Russian-Fallout, I'd accept it, but why the fuck is literally EVERY weapon featured in Fallout 1-2, magically missing from 3?

@ThatZenoGuy
Do you always get this agitated? Calm down. And we still have the Gatling Laser, Minigun, Rocket Launcher, 10mm Pistol and 10mm SMG, Super Sledge, Combat Knife, Plasma/Pulse/Frag Grenades, Gauss Rifle, Sniper Rifle, switchblade, sledgehammer, Ripper, Brass/Spiked Knuckles, Power Fist, .44 Revolver, 9mm Mouser renamed the Chinese Pistol, Hunting Rifle, Assault Rifle, Sawed-Off Shotgun, and NV brough back the Plasma Rifle renamed the Plasma Caster.

Sure, some look different, but that's nothing to complain about. The Flamer and Laser/Plasma Pistol/Rifle were given variants that work almost the same and that's it.

Big damn change that did.

Not literally every gun is missing. You sound like the people that hate on Fallout 3 just because. That's not valid in my book.

Disagreements over the plot? Sure, I can see that. But everything else is just petty complaints.

Oh no it's too green, oh no there aren't any plants, oh no WHAT THE HELL DO THEY EAT?!

Bunch of nonsense.

Did you not read my post?

Yes, and you listed, NONE.

Shit like sledge hammers and knives shouldn't even be included, every fucking game has shit like that.

Where's my 10mm pistol? Where's my city killer shotgun? Where's my sniper rifle?

The weapons from classic Fallout games and Fallout 3 that have the same name do look and work differently.
For example, the Gatling Laser in Fallout and Fallout 2 is even a different model (said ingame), In Classic Fallout they were prototypes, just researched and built right before the war, the ones from Fallout 3 were not prototypes anymore, they were mass manufactured and available to troops. Also the Classic ones deal laser damage, the Fallout 3 ones don't, the Fallout 3 are fully automatic while the classic ones are burst only (can only shoot a small burst at a time), the Fallout 3 ones have a giant backpack, they require different ammo type (Fallout 3 one require Electron Charge Pack while Classic one requires Microfusion Cells), they have a different ammo capability (30 for classic while Fallout 3 one has 240) and even their weight is different (18 for Fallout 3 and 24 for classic). This weapon does not "work almost the same".
The Minigun is a bit more faithful (because both deal normal damage and use the same ammo type) but it is still much different on how it works between games, backpack, weight, fully Auto vs Burst, ammo capability, appearance, etc.
Fallout 3 doesn't have the Rocket Launcher weapon, it has a very different one, the Missile Launcher. They are different weapons and behave differently so they can't even be considered similar (only similarity is that both shoot an explosive projectile).
I can pretty much point out the same things for almost all the weapons in your list (maybe the 10mm Pistol is the most similar in how it is used between the games, although with Fallout 3 not having ammo types, any weapon that uses bullets already doesn't work almost the same when used to fight enemies in Fallout 3 compared to classic games. Combat was more strategic in classic games and no weapon in Fallout 3 gives the same feeling because combat is more action oriented).

The name doesn't make the weapon, it is how it feels in the game that matters (although looks also help, to be honest).

You people are insane. I cannot believe these are considered valid reasons to dislike a game. Yeah yeah yeah Fallout 1 & 2 are great but so is Fallout 3.

I rest my case.

Imagine, say, Alien, right?

So they make a game, "Alien", and it has the pulse rifle, all that cool shit.

Then suddenly they make another one, but all the guns are from WW2, and the xenomorphs are bright pink and have three legs.

That's a ridiculous hyperbole and you know it.

That's a ridiculous hyperbole and you know it.

It's pretty fucking close though.

Super mutants and Enclave AND BoS are all retarded watered down versions of the FO1-2 ones.

All the guns are watered down, magically a vintage .44 magnum rifle is as powerful as a fucking plasma rifle, there's stupid gimick shit like the rockit launcher, etc.

I never said I dislike the game (actually if you had been around enough, you would have seen me defending the game when someone says something that is not true about it) I actually enjoy the damn game (but way more with FNV mechanics). I mod (make mods for) Fallout 3... And not only mod it, but I have been part of a team of modders for 6 years working on TTW :falloutonline:...
There is no way I would work on TTW if I didn't like Fallout 3 at least a tiny bit.

I do think it is a bad Fallout game, but I have fun playing it. And have been doing it non-stop for more than a decade.

No, I don't dislike the game even though it is bogged with problems, lore inconsistencies, weak writing, unbalanced gameplay, many bugs, etc.
I will tell you this though, I do dislike Fallout 4, it bores me to death. :rip:

It's fine as is. And all Tale of Two Wastelands adds is ironsights. IRONSIGHTS!!!

The ignorance about TTW, it burns.

It adds so much stuff to Fallout 3, its laughable how bad vanilla is compared to it.

That easy to hit your buttons huh. Calm down, I don't give a damn if people like Fallout 3 or not. All I care is that I do. But the reasons presented so far by you guys are pathetic.

Fallout 3 ain't perfect - but neither were the originals.
