Why do people think New Vegas was actually good?

Funny, I made a thread about the Legion in which I extrapolated all of my reasons for siding with them, and a similar one about the Enclave. I can post them both here if anyone gives a fuck but not enough of one to search.

Choosing someone that can bring Order that makes women sex slaves and hangs people up on a cross is bad. No matter what you think is more important, if you were a woman you would feel differently. I mean look at this shit....

ORDER. LONG LIVE SOME TYRANNICAL DICTATOR BECAUSE MY SAFETY AND ORDER.

You are a dork King Arthur. You poor fuck. I know you don't like women since you are half gay but you are real dipshit. I always hated people that thought the Legion is any kind of option.

Nah we gotta keep this thing on rails for our resident immigrant from 4chan to respond

I'd be interested in talking about in another thread though. Just necro your old one if it's not illegal to do so

Funny thing about my joining NMA; I used to lurk here for about a year, until I read an old thread with that @DrFallout guy posting. He indirectly inspired me to finally join, even though he’s long gone.

Send him a PM slinging shit for attracting me here, if you wish to complain lmfao

And @TorontoReign many have said it. Everyone, in fact. I guess the best way to put it is that my outlook, pessimistic and edgy as it is, is a Machiavellian one, hence why I support the slavers.

And you know how you see the government throwing money at things and never making progress because it’s a mental task?

That’s why I don’t support House and his space race.

Josh admitted that they went too far with the Legion when they made them do this. I imagine if they were allowed to make another Fallout game they would have made the Legion have less of this type of thing, and make them a more reasonable choice.

Even the NCR are a better choice than that. It's like saying which would you rather have, USA or North Korea, and picking North Korea.

I think you could still probably keep the sexism or the sex-slaveism of the Legion but tweak it to be slightly less cartoonish. Make the Legion a bit more totalitarian in that the population has a cult of the state, and above all believe they need to fulfill their duty as worker ants for Caesar/The Legioon/The Greater Good. Women can serve in other roles in the Legion, and play up the aspect that I think is only mentioned in the guide about there being Legionaire brainwasher maidens. So you can have an indoctrinated class of Legion, the boys believing they have to go die for Caesar in battle, and the girls ardently believing it is their duty to serve the Legion by baring great amounts of children so that the Legion can become stronger. Have it be an internalized oppression. Obviously externalized still for fresh slaves. I also think having women as Frumentarii seems like a no brainer.

It might not make them more sympathetic, but I don't know I feel like I would buy that a little better.

That’s your opinion, I’m not gonna argue. But I saw Nipton and went, “fuck, they get it.”

No factions in any other piece of media except perhaps the Enclave inspired the same response.

See? This is how you start a good thread.

Notice people are DEBATING THE STORY.

I AM HERMAN OF GOODSPRINGS. REBAR CLUB ALL WHO DO NOT TIP JUDY.

Listen, let's not start posting pictures of the Mojave bunker boiling over, the Kings shot dead to the last for breaking bread with the NCR or, if we're on the other side of the fence, Bitter Springs.

Isn't the Legion like this already? Men are trained to obey Caesar's law, which means fight and die for him. Women are breeders and healers. The only thing missing here is women in the soldier ranks.
