Will in ten years Fallout still be relevant as a series?

I think it was like 9 months? Which is basically half of New Vegas. And New Vegas still had a ton of cut content.

The truth of it is I don't think the writing was ever really that great in Fallout to begin with but it was pretty good for 98.

Not all of it even back then, but it has plenty of great writing. Obviously it has some dumb shit (Fallout 2 being the worst offender in the originals), but even the best written stuff has some questionable things.

I guess my point is Fallout was good due (to me) to C&C since it made the world feel real.

Fallout 5, you, a vault dweller, must go on a journey to find <significant other> and face the horrors of the wasteland (ghouls, radroaches, radscorpions, super mutants, deathclaws, mirelurks, <insert recognizable enemy>) on this journey you encounter the BROTHERHOOD OF STEEL and <insert one or two interchangeable factions> whom you must join with to find <significant other> and destroy the looming threat of THE ENCLAVE (or <insert advanced faction>) to save the wastes!
Don't forget about building 200 settlements and becoming the leader of whatever faction you join after doing 5 quests, and still have no power on that faction and have to do everything yourself, since ordering people to do stuff is not allowed.

And still get treated like shit, even though you are the leader of every faction.

Fucking Bethesda, i swear.
