That was some absolutely terrible football on both sides of the ball. Slovakia certainly deserved the win, but they got it more because Italy was so weak than because they were so strong. And even then Italy almost managed to come back.

The longest match of Tennis ever and Italy being eliminated. What a awesome day(even though all of this is post midnight for me).

Absolutely terrible? No. I'd say no match with 5 goals can be possibly "absolutely terrible" in this very average Cup (especially Group E matches I've been "honored" to see were pretty awful).

I clearly see Slovakia vs. Argentina @ finals. :wiggle:

The Netherlands and Argentina have played good(or at least much better than the other crap we have seen) so far and i would love to see them in the finals.

Let's see how we will play tomorrow without kaka and elano. (although kaka isn't doing much of a good job, imo)

Lots of goals doesn't mean good football. In fact, it often means the opposite given the propensity of 6-4 results in amateur football.

Italy is out of the world cup, my dreams have come true…I just wish England also missed out on the last 16 – oh well Germany will hopefully fix that…and I don’t care who wins the tournament, but it would be nice if it was a country that hasn’t won previously….

But then does good football means boring to watch football ?
That would mean I don't give a fuck about watching good football.

When I'd say it was a good match, I would personally mean it was entertaining as a spectator. And the end of the Slovakia-Italy match was surely one of the most entertaining moments of the cup so far.

Portugal vs. Brazil tonight – my early prediction is Portugal 1 and Brazil 2…let’s see what happens. :look:

    Portugal 0 Brazil 0.

I think Portugal played better, but overall a very uninspired game, that wouldn't really have gained much by having goals in it. Besides, the referee was terrible.

I'd say this was acutally another Big Nothing. So boring that commentator even apologies for this leg-hoeing.

Brasil without Kaka is even more disastrous than Italy without Pirlo.

I fortunately expected nothing (big) from Portugal.

    Copy that. Two times.

Nonamers with tons of emotions n' passion are really something to watch, unlike all those 0-0 "clashes of the football titans". I also had a great fun watching Australia and USA, because they just wanted to pass through!

Portugal/Brasil. A very boring game, they just nodded at each other.

Yes. There's a difference between good football and exciting matches. Neither Slovakia nor Italy played good football yesterday, but the match was certainly exciting.
