That was some absolutely terrible football on both sides of the ball. Slovakia certainly deserved the win, but they got it more because Italy was so weak than because they were so strong. And even then Italy almost managed to come back.
The longest match of Tennis ever and Italy being eliminated. What a awesome day(even though all of this is post midnight for me).

Absolutely terrible? No. I'd say no match with 5 goals can be possibly "absolutely terrible" in this very average Cup (especially Group E matches I've been "honored" to see were pretty awful).Sander said:

Italy is out of the world cup, my dreams have come true…I just wish England also missed out on the last 16 – oh well Germany will hopefully fix that…and I don’t care who wins the tournament, but it would be nice if it was a country that hasn’t won previously….

When I'd say it was a good match, I would personally mean it was entertaining as a spectator. And the end of the Slovakia-Italy match was surely one of the most entertaining moments of the cup so far.

I think Portugal played better, but overall a very uninspired game, that wouldn't really have gained much by having goals in it. Besides, the referee was terrible.

Yes. There's a difference between good football and exciting matches. Neither Slovakia nor Italy played good football yesterday, but the match was certainly exciting.Arr0nax said:
