Would anyone take issue with the Enclave in future games?

The NCR did not copy Power Armor from the BOS, they salvaged suits from the BOS (and apparently the Sierra Army Depot) and removed the servos (probably because they could not fix them).

Hanlon says this about NCR salavaged power armor: "Techs strip out the joint servos so you don't need special training to wear it."

It seems they simply rushed the salvaged armor out into the field to meet a demand for better gear by taking the shortcut. In another thread, we'd discussed how the Colonel wearing the Sierra Power Armor seemed out of place wherever he is, rather than at a front line posting or somewhere training soldiers to use power armor.

Maybe the Long 15 is dangerous, so they need him there. More likely they just wanted to add a cool armor, but didn't think of a good reason why.

Just an educated guess, but the location where he's at has several Vertibirds, so it's very likely to be a refueling station.

The only place on the I-15 that would be of strategic importance is Barstow, CA. which has a Marine logistics base, and a location near Fort Irwin and the Barstow-Daggett Airport. It also sits on the I-40, which connects straight to Flagstaff, Arizona, heart of Legion territory.

On the other hand, Tagaziel suggests that the Necropolis is actually Barstow and not a misplaced Bakersfield, so the likelihood is that the location of the nuked Long 15 station is probably another fictional town like those in the Divide.

I have no problems with the Enclave returning, but what I do not want is some FEV inspired "Enclave". That is WC and Eden plan only.

Common sense would say there were other Enclave other than Rig or Navarro. In fact, I would say there were other places even the WC Enclave occupied. Reason being that there exist huge plot holes in Enclave history. For example, Enclave supposedly do nothing for 150 years. FEV is relatively new plan for Enclave, actually getting their hands on it only about 6 years before FO2 begins.

Note that say if a Enclave bunker was in generic location B circa 2077 and had 100 people, by fo3 they could have potentially grown to 1600.

What I do not want is Enclave as major bad guy. More or less a neutral faction the player can either assist or destroy. Any other Enclave who had no ties to the rig should also not have APA or Verts, but more than likely would have at least attempted to create their own tech.

One thing I have often wondered is why the Enclave did not have a GECK. Or, maybe they did, as very little is known of their plans.

I have no problem with them returning but I would rather them as a minor faction like they were in New Vegas or like the Brotherhood in New Vegas. I won't lie I love that power armour.

I believe that the Enclave are a great faction and should come back for another game. Due to EDE's data logs we know they have a base in Chicago so why not there? In truth Encalve and BOS are tied for my favorite faction even though they hate each other. I'd love to see a comback.

They should be handled like the Brother of Steel was handled in New Vegas; there, but just barely, having no major effect. I personally wanted to side with the Enclave when I first encountered/heard of them, but then they tried to kill me, so that branch was instantly shunned like the rest of Fallout 3.

i dont like having to kill the same enemy again and again, i was dissapointed to see them in FO3 cus my first thought was "goddamnit, i actually nuked you guys!"

as much as the robots of FOT annoyed people, and me to some degree, they were at least a replacement for yet another enclave encounter, and i appreciate that.

this doesnt mean other groups may turn hostile.
first of all, america isnt the only country in the world with a government. it is also not the only country in the world that has a government with guns at its disposal.
i'd even accept a mexican antagonistic gvt remnant, for all i care.
the brotherhood could turn "evil", something that is also "hinted at" in FOT, they barge foreward, they are mercyless at anyone standing in their way, and just like the enclave, they profess doing this for the greater good.

I'd like to see the enclave again but with changed priorities. But also want the commonwealth involved in future too.

FO4 SHOULD have Enclave in it, but i would keep them small.

ED-E logs talk about enclave station in chicago right?
Why wouldn't fallout4 be there.imagine, ncr expands to chicago, caesar legion is dying, some new factions have arisen.. and to top it all, you have enclave !!!

If the Enclave shows up in other Fallouts, just make them a very small faction or an easter egg. I really don't want them being the main bad guys for a third time.

three words for ya: Minor Supporting Role

Have mention of how they are working on coming back or something, but they could never reclaim there former glory.

Or not mentioning them at all outside of documents, and references through equipment, etc. Unless you want to make the Enclave into the Hi-Tech Khans, coming back every game to be humilliated.

I think copying the Enclave again (at least, in any sort of recognizable form) is sort of lazy. But I certainly think there needs to be a corrupt semi-governmental organization so evil that it will always be the definite enemy of everything the player character fights for.

Are you drunk and/or high? Have you ever looked at the USA on a map? Do you realise that Chicago is almost at the other side of the US from New Vegas?

If the NCR reaches Chicago that would mean they own half of the US, which I doubt they ever will, and if they do then it won't be called the NCR anymore and it would be a long long time after Fallout: New Vegas took place.
(It would probably take such a long time that we can't call it post-apocalyptic anymore, more like post-post-post-apocalyptic).
Don't give Bethesda any ideas...

Theoretically! I've personally killed bout three hundred of em, so that's 1300, an spread tween DC n Vegas they can't exactly hold any forts up . . .

I would not want to see "the enclave" from FO3, but an enclave is not beyond the pale.

I just look at it as US gov Vaults (Raven Rock, Mt. Weather, the Greenbriar, tons of bunkers/vaults under various bases, radar stations and relays etc. could each have their own "enclave".

They all might have similar equipment etc, but they would all be different after 200 years or so in effective isolation from other enclave groups.
