Xbox One vs PS4 What Console Is Better?

Tbh I'm just waiting till some small, off the grid company starts manufacturing PS2 clones through a legal loophole.

That would be Playstation Now in a couple of years. That way you don't need a PS 1,2,3 or 4. You could do with a Sony Bravia TV or other devices that allow you to install the Playstation Now App and then you can either rent the games or pay a monthly fee(all you can play). You will also be needing a controller which can be bought for 50 bucks or so. Online game-streaming services are the future in my opinion.
Yippy, pay to play all the games I ALREADY OWN again! 6_6 9_9 6_6

You can play the games YOU ALREADY OWN right now on your PS2 I guess, no need to wait for PS Now. My post was directed at PC snobs who aren't willing to pay a 50-100 bucks to buy a used PS2 BECAUSE IT'S AGAINST THE RULES AND A CARDINAL SIN!!!!!!111one111eleventy11!!! Man, some people apparently think it's cool to always be negative on these boards. :|

Nah PC is great but PS2 is a godly piece of kit and the last actual gaming machine released by a major company in years imo.

Remember when products were built to last? :|

Way to miss the point and tone of my entire post, then sanctimoniously come off like it's us being the assholes.....

If that is the future I would rather stay in the past.

Yeah, not a fan of game streaming, specially here in colombia where the fastest internet is 5MBS (altho they are bringing faster speeds this year). Also not a fan of not owning my games, and seeing Sony's track record with their online service I predict a monstruous raise in Piracy if they actually switch to 100% streaming gaming.

I like the PS4. Although I started out as a PC gamer (my first PC game ever was WarCraft II), the PS 1 stole my heart as a kid. It's unfortunate that I don't have any PS system anymore (I'll change that soon though), but I've had all of them at one time or another.

I remember I got the Xbox when it first came out, and was like "this is the biggest piece of shit I've ever laid eyes on". I never touched it except to play Star Wars: KOTOR (since that game was awesome), and ended up selling it for forty bucks like two years after it came out. I only ever bought two games. HALO which everybody LOVED at the time, which I found to be nothing more than a generic shooter with aliens, re-iterating on the whole DOOM concept of "stand ten feet in front of your enemies and jump back and forth - unless you have a long range weapon, then stand hundred yards away from your enemies, and jump back and forth".

I also ended up settling for the 360 when the PS3 came out because I couldn't find a PS3 anywhere (except for EBay for a few thousand dollars for some crackheads/baseheads get kinda rich (but not really) quick scheme. A friend ended up selling me a brand new 360 for only, yet again, forty bucks (funny how things work). The first game I got was Oblivion when it came out. I played about three hours of it, and then my 360 caught fire (nothing huge, but one of the chips inside sparked and cause a small little flame, burning up other shit). First the system froze, then I heard loud crackling noises coming from the Xbox, and then - smoke. And that was the end of my ever buying another Xbox system. Luckily I was able to salvage and sell whatever parts weren't burnt up or had electrical damage online after a friend told me to do that. Each part could only sell for so much, but in the end I made nearly half my money back (about 18 bucks if I recall). I would later go on to buy used Xbox 360's, and strip them for their parts and either repair other people's who had gotten damaged somehow, or just sell it online. I'd nearly double my money in some cases.

Pfft, fucking kid! I still remember my first video game I ever played. No, it WASN'T Pong, but it wasn't that far from it! Goddamned Space Invaders for DOS, back in the late 80s. Some of my earliest memories were asking for permission to play on my Dad's computer and booting up the 5 or so REALLY limited but fun-at-the-time games he had on his 286. Man, memories.....

Then years later it was HOPING I had the coins to be able to play arcade Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt and Street Fighter, the latter of which SUCKED on PC (which was how it was, back in those days) but... I digress. I know it's JUST nostalgia, but I miss those days.

I don't care which console is better (because PC) but PlayStation usually has exclusives that I personally enjoy more than xbones.

Interesting how this thread is still alive exactly a year after I posted something about PS Now...and you guys are still talking about that! It's like returning to the basement only to find out that the half eaten donut you left there has evolved into a rat with a missing leg and no teeth.

PS4
I work in the game shop and the XOne is a pain to test on.

That being said, there are many things that Sony do that I dislike (PSNow).
But the exclusives are a lot better, Microsoft have a habit of putting out games that just don't interest me.
Also I knew Shenmue 3 would be a PlayStation exclusive (I've known for years).

PlayStation 2. It's also the last *real* console, rather than dumbed down HTPC.
