So he hates it, I rather enjoyed Wolfenstein and found it one of the more enjoyable shooters that have come out lately.
Bigger levels, a health bar, and quick saves would have been nice, but at least it is not one of those Modern War shooters or Gears of War style games we usually get.

There was a sort of Indiana Jones like atmosphere to the whole Nazi evil scheme thing which I rather enjoyed.

I am sure it is because of the occult Nazi stuff but I also got a bunch of Hellboy vibes while I was playing it and I rather enjoyed that as well.

The single player campaign in Wolfenstein is great fun, still have not tried the multiplayer.

Hello Bal-Sagoth,

I am glad to hear that someone else also liked the game for what it tried to be.
If you read some of the complaints of others, you wonder why designers still try to be different with idea concepts.

Some expected Wolfenstein to be like general WW2 shooters, with you running through famous battles of the conflict, a remake of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, or a sequel to Enemy Territory instead.

Personally they could have cut off the Multiplayer if they had used that funding for bigger levels and quests.
I think polls have shown that only a portion of gamers on PC and Console play Multiplayer a lot.

I in general prefer Single Player myself because of storytelling, rather than multiplayer in which I have to fight annoying screaming kids.
