    I feel most writers don't 'get' Fallout, and if expanded media material is based on Bethesda's take on Fallout it couldn't get further from what Fallout 1, 2 and FNV tried to show the world to be like.

    I understand that the European Post Apocalypse comic series Jeremiah had a television series? I have not read the comics really but I understand that they and the television series tried to portray a PA America as a realistic anarchistic landscape in which survival could be a challenge and in which the most ruthless ruled.

    This is what Fallout should go for and a Bethesda's 50s retro wacky sci fi land in which FEV and self aware robots are aplenty and most characters lack the essential wits to survive outside ordered settlements or nations.

    yeah i'm not a fan of the art style either, but i should say that the gameplay itself is top notch compared to civ v at release. There is much potential to what could be improved more. But its definitely playable (except if you looking for diplomatic victory, for some reason are not exist yet)

    Hmmm, getting curious about it now. I always loved Civ, as a concept, but the games have suffered some serious simplisticification (that's a word now), it's the only real alternative to Paradox' "map games" that feature all of history as a time-span

    So far i never feel there is streamlining or such, just take a look at district system. The game does really tell not everything that complete and bigger is better.
