Dude, Dragon Ball was never a carefully written story, but Super is like straight up someone's shitty fanfiction.

Speaking of animu and context. Have you guys seen this already?

It looks embarrassing.

And Bato looks like Jack Black with Googly eyes.

Having actually watched Dragon Ball Super, what Walp said isn't what really happens.

Vegitto was actually quite one sidedly kicking the ass of Zamasu, the badguy. He only "lost" because his fusion time ran out before he could deliver the final blow.

Trunks only beat Zamasu after Vegitto basically beat him to a pulp, and Trunk only beat him by using a spirit bomb, whose energy he channeled into his sword.

A spirit bomb he pulled right out his asshole and was never even hinted to knowing.

Vegitto Retconned to only last 1 hour, then he nfuses after 5 minutes, then Trunks who couldn't even beat the unfused Zamasu's Gets a lightsword made out of the energy of earth after unlodging it from in between his buttcheeks and not only blocks Zamasu's attacks but also defeats him. That's called shitty writting dude.

A. Saiyans-human hybrids have always had a knack for learning techniques easier. Toriyama has gone over this for years, ever since the Cell games. Saiyans-human hybrids are far stronger, and are far quicker to learn things then pure blooded Saiyans are, which is why Gohan achieved SS2 before Goku or Vegeta, and why Trunks and Goten achieved SS1 form at like 6 years old. And why, even now, Vageta has said Gohan has the power to become stronger then both him and Goku. Trunks learned the Galick Gun from his dad in like a day, and the Mafuba wave from watching a video of Piccolo doing it.

B. Trunks, along with everyone else, was easily beating Zamasu, the only problem was that he was immortal, and thus, couldn't die. The only person they had trouble fighting was Black. Trunks would have outright killed Zamasu earlier in the arc when he outdid did him, and stabbed him through the chest with his sword, had Zamasu not been immortal.

I mean, you can not like it, but nothing Trunk did was outside the realm of established Dragon Ball lore, dating back to the Cell arc.

Not sure what to think of Ghost in the Shell as movie ... movies from animes usually suck, particularly if they are made to fit a 'western' market. Just from the looks of the trailer, it seems to be more your typical action-sci-fi flick where any meanigfull message is thrown out so the masses can enjoy the explosions that will happen every 5 min. The best I expect? If it ends up something like Matrix I. The worst? Another Jupiter Ascending ...
Lets hope for the best, but expect the worst.

Super can't be any worse than any other incarnation of this series. it's still a series of drawn out dick measuring contests with no real stakes because everything is just going to be wished away anyway.

That Ghost in the Shell trailer looks powerfully awful.

It has never been stablished that saiyan hy

A. That has never been stablished once, it's Fanon at best. Fanboy wankering at worst. Gohan achieved SS2 because he was stablished to have a hidden power even as far back as Raditz. Trunks just learns techniques in this arc because he has Super Mary Sue powers in this arc. This is the same guy who turned SSJ until he was 15 and then got trashed around by every villain in his introduction arc.

B. Zamasu fused with the guy they had problems beating, so he is literaly double as strong.
Trunks was also never even stablished to be able to do the Light sword shit, it literally just happens right before he beats Zamasu. And for all it's "Typical shonen-ess" Dragon Ball never did the Sword of Light powered by friendship shit. Not to mention the string of retcons this episode also had.

You might like it, but that doesn't stop it from being shit and badly written corny cliches that don't even belong to the style of the series.

The word of the author himself is fanon then

Neither was Vageta until he did it to block Goku Black's light sword attack just last episode.

That Ghost in the Shell movie looks like shit.

Vageta, the new Female Saiyan.

Akira Toriyama barely even remembers that Saiyans have tails.

Also yeah, Vegeta also pulled shit out of his ass, this is the rule with Dragon Ball Prolapse writting.

Kono Suba (-rashi no Sukufuku Wo!) or God's blessing on this beautiful world!'s Season 2 has just come out :3

Anybody else gonna watch it?

This take on the "trapped on a videogame-like Fantasy world" trope (like Re;Zero, SAO, Log Horizon) actually focuses on comedy. Mainly some referential parody to SAO/genre cliches, D&D, MMORPG clashing with how they'd actually work and the quirks of the characters.

The pilot episode felt like it lasted 5 minutes :lalala:

I wish there was a Kokou No Hito anime animated by Madhouse or Trigger, that manga as amazing art and reading it helped me get through the nastiest bout of depression I had 2 years ago.

For the good or the bad, Fairy Tail has been announced to be ending soon.

Also watching Kono Subarashii and Dragon Maid.
And Trigun again on Netflix, at times it feels like Fallout but modern steampunk+Western

I like it. No nostalgia involved. I just find it entertaining.

Which is fine, but nostalgia plays a huge part in why people cling to this series. With the tonal shift that started with Battle of the Gods, I actually think the series is in a much better place with them embracing how stupid it is.

I haven't seen any of DBZ but dad has me watching DragonBall and DragonBall super and both seem to have their own degree of self-awareness at least IMO.
