Anyone noticed Legion supporters usually spell Caesar wrong?

Legion putz's are just dedicated memers kinda like people who ask you to prove the Earth is round. It makes for good discussion and entertainment on the forum so they are the unsung heros really. Imagine if there were no Legion supporters how boring it would be.

Also, they spell it wrong because a dirty barbarian can only larp as Rome and get despotism out of it as opposed to the true republic. The empire never ended. The NCR will prevail in body and in spirt long after the body has paseed. Just as Rome did.
No, I believe that with decent leaders or even average ones, the Legion can survive.

This is why I have stated many times that I view the Legion as being "Lawful Evil" while the NCR I see as "Lawful Neutral". Caesar actually reminds me a lot of Asmodeus from D&D. Like Asmodeus, Caesar truly believes that a bright future awaits the world if he was in charge. As arrogant as this claim sounds, Caesar, much like Asmodeus, does have the competence to back it up. Which to me makes him a much more fun and interesting villain. Way better then Eden in Fallout 3 or Father in Fallout 4.
Calling Eden a villain is an insult to real villains lmao, I think Bethesda tried to imitate New Vegas by having four endings and by having the Institute be evil like the Legion but the difference is the evil of the Legion can be explained the Institute's cannot.

Mr. Roosevelt, I unfortunately have to straighten you out on this.

I’ll put it in simple terms: think about the wasteland. Rule of law doesn’t exist for the most part. Rape and murder are everyday occurrences. Half of the country is owned by itinerant psychopaths with no higher organization to speak of.

That world, as much as you and people like you, are loath to admit it, is not one in which you can bitch and moan about Caesar being ObViOuSLy WroNg. Because he’s not.

Extreme as hell times call for extreme as hell measures; Hammurabi’s code wasn’t “oh well go to jail for a month” it was “you lose your hand, cunt”. And you know what? That places the fucking boundaries of civilization.

The Roman republic, for all of its enlightened governmental ideals, is still something modern apologists like you would find “barbaric”. You can’t look outside the realms of your own tunnel vision to consider the idea that the wasteland needs taming from a force with a sterner hand than the NCR? Fine. But please don’t subject the rest of us to said ignorance.

I still have no idea what the end goal for The Institute was. The Legion at least had a goal and a purpose that one can easily understand. I have yet to meet one person who can explain to me The Institute's goals.

See what you started @Sicknessoverload?

So, you excuse the man who started his own cult and is worshiped as a deity because you've lose your humanity in the wasteland.

Are you literally.... NO. That’s not what I’m saying at all.

I’m saying that the Legion serves a purpose, a harsher, Machiavellian equivalent to the other factions. You can’t think outside of your little modern day bubble? Really man? Stop thinking like the world has to be this enlightened magical place post-apoc, or any time for that matter.

The real Caesar once said that “men in general are quick to believe what they wish to be true.” We’re seeing it now with your evident disdain for hypothetical thinking.

Because I know there's no excuse for slavery and crucifixion. There's no scenario in which the Legion's cause is just.

Why do you need to use the Legion blueprint when there is the ncr, or even the governmental system of Rome itself?
Are there representatives/senators in the legion as I can't find it online yet.

Because I know there's no excuse for slavery and crucifixion.
During the Third Servile Revolt, Spartacus and his gladiators pillaged and raped their way down the Roman countryside, killing slave owners and working class families indiscriminately.

By crucifying the rebels and putting them along the Appian Way, Crassus was sending a message. It wasn’t crucifixion for crucifixion’s sake.

I don't think they ever mentioned how their government works but I imagine he most likely has a cabinet or something of that nature.

He likely does. But saying that there’s no situation in which the cause is just? That’s just taking things at face value. You have to be able to look more deeply or critically at a situation than “MACHETE MEN BAD”

I have little knowledge of Roman history, but from what I know of Spartacus' innsurection, neither side was right.

There's no excuse for slavery, no matter the circumstance.

Ok, let’s try putting it this way: taking it as a given that “SPARTACUS ONLY REVOLTED BECAUSE SLAVERY”, let’s eliminate slavery from Rome.

Even with Rome’s enlightened governmental organization, there were still peasant riots and such.

So my question is how do you deal with detractors? How do you respond when you extend a hand to the people, and they spit on it? There’s a time to turn the other cheek and a time to strike back, and make an example.

You can’t deny that.

Well, a strike is one thing a violent insurrection is quite another.
