Anyone noticed Legion supporters usually spell Caesar wrong?

Really the existence of the NCR shows that you do not need to have a legion society, or especially continue it past a certain point no?

No. It shows if anything how fractious and prone to inefficiency that form of Democratic Republic is.
 
If there were citizen violence I would arrest them. If it was a peasant strike I would look into what pushed them to that point and what I could do to fix it.

You're asking me to justify slavery. As someone who is of New Vegas, I cannot. You're asking me to justify harsh unnessasary punishment, I cannot. You're asking me to justify the savage and barbaric treatment of women, I cannot. If I were to support the Legion, I would have to join Caesar's cult, and I cannot.

I would honestly take powdergangers over Legion though. I mean, I might be enslaved along with my child regardless if they're born yet.
And that is a deliberate function of the system as opposed to the NCR's issues.
 
Powder Gangers would probably just have their way with you then let you go, Legion would have their way then enslave you then sell you for profit.

Yes, they do. They literally just had finished attacking a trade caravan before the start of the game. The only reason they don't attack you is if you decide to join them, but everyone else gets attacked regardless.
