Bethesda planning a survival overhaul. Has hell frozen over?

Once again, Bethesda adds something after the fact that should have been in the game to begin with (and even charges money for it?), especially considering it was already in the previous Fallout.

Actually to give the slightest, tiniest bit of credit where it's due, the Survival update is free. It'll be included next patch I believe. Still not good enough to make me go back and play the game though. It's still uninstalled on my Steam account. Probably will stay that way until Far Harbor just so I can see how much lore they break with it.

Okay, that's good at least. Still feel like it should've been part of the base game to begin with. Listening to journalists who didn't play New Vegas talk about how it changes the game makes me want to tear my hair out a bit.

Yeah I REALLY want to see Far Harbour. Can't wait to see the lore train falling off a cliff.

It's already fallen off and tumbled down the cliff, hitting rock bottom. We're just waiting to see whether Bethesda and co. will try to fix the train wreck with duct tape, or nuke the remains.

Nuke the remains most likely. And then destroy the ashes.

... Am I the only one who's enjoying this?
I liked it better when it was done correctly and built into the game from the beginning, like, in New Vegas. If I want open world and needs, that is where I go. Nothing worse then a new fan herp derping there way across Boston Wasted Potential, thinking they are hardcore in a linear pewpew game. It was done before, and better.

The idea of Fallout: Boston's hardcore mode doesn't make much sense to me. The reason Fallout 3's hardcore mode worked as a concept was that it was set in the desert, the Commonwealth is lush with vegetation, it wouldn't take a survivalist character to survive there.

You need to be a Survivalist to survive in most places. You think if you dropped Penelope Dipshit in the middle of the Pleistocene wilderness, she would be fine? Heck, even the Germanian wildernes? People need to eat wherever they go.

There are plenty of things to complain about with Fo4, but Survival is not one of them. It's far better done than in New Vegas, where it was essentially just Vanilla by the time you reached Novac.

No, you are incorrect. Many people are aware of your incorrectness, there is even a popular video that explains why you are wrong. I can respect that "you" like it better then FONV system, but that doesn't mean it's better, it means you have a shallow way of seeing bethesdass shallow worlds and you probably have a shallow way of seeing our world, only looking at the immediate surface and never asking any questions.
Fallout 4: Designed by idiots, for idiots.
