Guess what, the exact same game with a Black Isle stamp on it would still have sucked donkey balls...

I bet my life that if that were the case, you guys would rather hide in a Vault (pun intended) than admit that fact.

 I recommand reading on how certain of Van Buren's design decisions were received when they were announced.

Then I'll ask again the question that you so poorly avoided. Why call it 3 which implies a continuation of the previous 2? It has been mentioned already, that a simple change to the name of the game would have saved this headache of "negativity"... "Simply because they can" is a complete cop-out. So thanks for coming out.

Stop playing dumb, you know what he meant by "direct sequel".

Just in case though : It meant "not spin-off"...

Obviously, sorry you couldn't see through it.

Fallout 3 will be > than Fallout 1 and 2.

The same way GTAIV was better than III, Vice City, and SA.

No, but there's no way to prove your baseless, generalizing accusation one way or the other now is there?

How about you give us your thoughts on WHY you think that?

It's been presented to you what we feel the issues are, but you have yet to provide any intelligent response.

Nothing to say?

Why ask me? I'm not a Bethsoft employee. All I know is that it takes place half a country away, and it's set 30 years after Fallout 2.

Seems like 30 years would be a lot longer in a nuclear wasteland.

Considering neither of those games were sequels to each other; your argument is flawed.

Fallout 2 was a sequel to 1, as 3 should have been to the previous 2.

Ok...seems the question is too complex. Here is the same question but...simple :

Would a Vault boy platform-game called Fallout 3 make sense to you ? I mean regardless of who would develop it.

Actually, in the OMX review thread, I had typed out a very long list of why I liked this game.

When I hit submit, it failed to go through, and I really felt it would be pointless to do it all again just to show our differences.

I'm going to stoop to your level and simply express my love for Fallout 3 whilst you express your hate.

Now I know you must be trolling. GTA IV was crap compared to SA and Vice City. The story was cliched and money was utterly useless. Of course the graphics were better, so maybe that did it for you?

Pardon my ignorance, where can I read about a plot?
There's a good amount of it summarized in the "Fallout 3 pirated, videos spread" thread in spoiler tabs. Think it starts happening the the 20s of pages of the thread but I'm not quite sure, just look for spoiler tags and click them and you'll find it.

See Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.

:ok: For the Maddox link.

That's an incredibly weak excuse.

Remember that thing I typed up in the other thread? The one where you said "Oh gee, ALL those things are MAJOR problems for you?" all intelligent-like? I didn't copy-paste that. I did it from memory, which is why it only covers part of what I don't like about the game, even skipping over serious lore problems. Saying "Oh noez, I don't feel like copy-pasting my opinions from elsewhere- I'll just act like I did" is no excuse. In this second thread, I'll say: Put up or shut up.

Now now let's not get carried away :P That's opinion, I liked IV much more than VC, though less than SA.

I can see what this dude's agenda was. This feels as one sided as most of the other reviews, only its the other side of the spectrum.

The reason I won't seriously discuss this game here is because the things you posted that you disliked, are things that I either am ok with, or they're not all that bad.

Again, all you guys simply hate the fact that Fallout 3 isn't going to be like Fallout 1 or 2. That's ok, there's only a small group of you.

Well that review is refreshing when all we get is "this is awsum" from people within the gaming industry that are duller than a butter knife.

Edit: The guy in the review was honest. Maybe not necessarily unbiased, but he didn't try to just force feed Fallout3 propaganda down people's throat. He simply stated his opinion and that's worth much more to me than what other said people are doing.

I got some pleasure out of IV, but even Vice City was more entertaining for its time, in my opinion 8-)

Hate zealots, both those who love or hate something, as they can not be trusted to give an unbiased opinion.

Whatever happened to cats in fallout? I would have loved to have a go at one with a bozar... Sorry Mikael, random thought
