Hellboy and affiliated comics are the nuts.

V for Vendetta and Watchmen by Alan Moore are pretty sweet too.

Wanted was a good comic, much better than the shitty movie that turned it into a good-guy story instead of the egocentric fuck-the-world story that it was.

Okay, okay, you're the man, Twinkie, you're the man.

Clowes is the shit (as in: his stuff ain't shit, but is the shit, meaning it's really good).
Chris Ware is the shit as well. Woodring, Sacco, Burns: :ok:

The rest: meh.

I grew up on the Batman: The Animated Siries and Superman cartoons but realle didn't get into comics until about 6 years ago when I picked up a comic and realized the character on the fron had his gloves cut the same way mine did. The index finger, little finger and thumb were all cut off. And he wore a trench coat, Just like me... I got to reading it and the character's name was Gambit... I related the character to me alot and got into other comics...
I really enjoyed the DAWN siries, but then I am Pagan. Also got into Ghost rider a little bit and DareDevil. But I would have to say my all time favorite comic would have to be Nightwing (Batman's former sidekick that left Gothom and started making his own name in Bludhaven).

Preacher was mentioned by Maulky... I did read some of those, but only ever found a few at a time. The whole reason I looked into that one is because of what "Cassidy" from fo2 said about him being named after a comic-book character that was a "mean sonuvabitch". Otherwise I would have never known that it existed.

Comics/Graphic Novels

So I've been reading the Watchmen comics (which are amazing btw), playing Fallout 2/3, reading The Road and watching that old classic episode of the Twilight zone I'm in the mood for a good graphic novel or comic that takes place in a post nuclear war or post apocalypse type dealy. Any ideas?

Vampires/zombies are always fun too, and TBH any Graphic novel/comic recommendations would be awesome :]

It's not your typical apocalypse tale, but as far as graphic novels go I strongly recommend Y: The Last Man. Every male mammal on the face of the Earth bleeds out in one horrifying instant- except, inexplicably, for young slacker Yorick Brown and his pet monkey Ampersand.

The "gendercide" isn't an apocalypse in the truest sense of the word, but with the world's infrastructure (and power structure) in complete shambles, there are more than a few times when that distinction seems overly fine. It's a smart, well-paced tale with a tight focus on character development that somehow still manages to spare ample space to explore the ins-and-outs of an all-female world in shock.

And no, it never delves into that "last schlong on the planet," A Boy and His Dog-esque breeder schlock, nor is it a male-bashing estrogen rag. In case you were wondering.

Haha, i was looking into Y actually, Ill check it out since ive heard good things :]

and whats Scout about?

Y is fucking great. Very popular among the female crowd, I think. No wonder Yamu posted is, fucking feminist she is.

I'm currently reading Love and Rockets' first trade, from 81 or so. It's fucking phenomenal. Two brothers do two separate stories. I prefer Jaime's to Gilberto's, Gilberto's is too depressing. Jaime's is about a latina punk rock bisexual sci-fi dinosaur mechanic and her friends and shit...You really have to read it.

hhahaha IM gonna downloa.. er buy >_> love and rockets just because it sounds retarded lol

Y is fooking great so far though.

Btw if you people (I mean this in an entirely racist fashion btw) haven't read World War Z or The Road yet, fooking do it ><

Not really comics (well not only that for sure)

But Luis Royo always kind has been a great favourite. particulary post apcalyptic art from him
