Does anyone remember ANY Fallout 3 characters?

For some reason, I just have the name "Gary" constantly shouting in my head whenever I think of Fallout 3. That is all.

Exactly. The guy has a gun and she's defenceless. It's just so stupid beyond belief. It's an apocalyptic wasteland. You can do what you want without ANY consequences. If you have a gun and someone else doesn't, that person is your bitch.

I wouldn't want to survive an apocalypse in a bunker with you guys :x what the fuck. What you're really saying is "Why didn't he rape her?! I'd rape her!!!"

I'm not saying I would rape her (for a large number of reasons other than that I'm too nice) but looking at the wiki apparently this Ronald Laren guy "misses the physical side of relationships" and wants to get "even with her". In a world of no morals you would think he would just take what he wants. If they had established that this guy was religious/believed in sin or something along those lines then fine. But they didn't, so we're left with a dodgy character living next to a woman he hates and wants to screw but doesn't. It's just dumb.

...only a few are relevant

I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Bethesda also has a tendency to stick characters in cities who have random fetch tasks for you or are somehow associated with the main quest. That makes no sense all.

I'll be honest - I don't remember much details of the game overall. Except the gameplay trailers from 2008 - the only time I was truly excited for Fallout 3. When I got my hands on the game it was a painful experience.

Relevant as in actually doing something. Nobody seems to have any career outside of scavenging. Everyone just walks around, expecting food to happen. Big Town was established for people to live in. Why would you live there? There's no food, water, resources. Nothing to trade or work on. There's a better more defensible town down the road. Why not just go there? Dumb.

That's my thoughts. I wouldn't rape her, but c'mon, ALL this guy talks about is how bad he wants to fuck her. IIRC the other half of the coke quest is you could bring them to him so he could use them to get in her pants and there was some sort of free "quest" where you had to bring him some silky underwear. Though he goes to all this trouble when he's apparently friends with raiders (Lug Nut) and there's nobody around for miles (like everywhere in Fallout 3) and even if there was anyone it's not like there's any law. Why did he not just say "I'm tired of waiting"???

Off topic, but that whole thing would have worked better if they lived somewhere more like Rivet City and that girl had her Coke collection there. The quest would have been an unmarked one where there's ONE quantum well hidden somewhere in the wasteland and if you find it she has something far more worthwhile than a grenade schematic. That would also better explain why he doesn't just rape her, because there's security everywhere.

I had to look up this "Shakes". Are you kidding me? Nice work with the wiki, because nobody, Nobody, remembers a f*cking characterless protectron bartender.

edit: after re-reading this, the comment sounds a bit snarky. What I meant is that I hope to god you're not actually wasting memory space to remember that

Nice job reading the Wiki, there.

Moira Brown, Lucas Simms, Dad, that robot in Megaton house, Three Dog, President Eden, Harold and I don't remember any more names.
Same goes with all other Fallout games because there's so many characters I can't and probably won't remember any of them despite spending hundreds of hours playing Fallout games.
Huh.

Yeah, something went horribly wrong.
Sorry for that spam.

I liked Desmond from Piont lookout. I think whole espionage game he was wageing was interesting. I kinda missed him in NV. I think he would fit nicely, with whole Mister House thing. Desmond, and that`s about it. All other were either too Black/White or to underdeveloped.

I remember some of the characters, though most I corrected their condition into an ash pile, but I mostly remember Colonel Autumn, the Vault 101 Overseer (almost my personal favorite), Amata (almost my favorite part of the game was watching that near-human get purified by Enclave troops outside the Vault 101's cave/entrance) and of course, last, but not least President John H. Eden (who in my opinion was the most noble and heroic character in the game, even though....not going to spoil it).

I remember liking Eden's broadcast's more than GNR's :P I was watching a video of the conversation you have with him at the end. It's annoying how Bethesda wasted his brilliant character with bad writing. Example:

SPOILER

"(Science Option) I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN YOU WERE A COMPUTER" (how is that a "science" option. sigh.)

But yes, I agree. FOR THE ENCLAVE!!!
