Eu vivo mesmo ao lado do Alvaláxia - imagina o barulho que vai por aqui :) Bem, agora já não há muito, porque a maior parte do pessoal já bazou, mas as buzinadelas e gritos ainda acontecem de vez em quando.

English only please.

Greece went through, Spain staid behind. I'm just disappointed that the games were so boring. Damnit. If the netherlands-Czech Republic hadn't been so great I would've enjoyed these games much more.

Portugal-Spain had a good first half. Shame they kakked in in the second

Plus, Dick Advocaat isn't too bad. I think he did a good job getting the people on the field the way he did.

Yeah...wasn't really much of Advocaat's doing, y'know, Advocaat was responsible for the brilliant terrible line-up during Germany-Holland. Even the dumbest trainer could see that one didn't work, so he had to think up a new one, and simply used the most logical one at hand.

Making terrible mistakes in the defensive area too

However, we stil have a decent chance. The Germans just need to not win and we need to win, and we'll be in the quarter finals. I doubt the Czechs would lose it, unless they play to lose, which I doubt as well, since they wouldn't encounter the other one until the finals. If you kick out a weaker team, it'll get defeated by someone else later on anyway.

Right now Germany *is* the weaker team, Sander. We played against them with an inferior Dutch team, and they played equal against the Lets. The Czechs know this. If they have any smarts, they'll let Germany pass.

but that wouldn't be nice, now would it?

It wouldn't matter much to them who they let through, because they wouldn't potentially see the other team in the Finals.
But, then again, we did look very very threatening. Hmm..
Anyway, Bruckner is putting up a B-Team against the Germans, so this could go both ways. The B-Team could let the Germans win, or they could do their best to prove that they should play from the start. Both are possible.

True. But it was him who put these people on the field. Give credit where credit's due. Plus, against Germany neither Seedorf nor Robben, who played decisive roles, were available, so he couldn't have put this team on the field then no matter how much he wanted it.

I find it puzzling nobody voted Denmark yet. They played a pretty good, if rigged, game today

As for those who voted Italy: HAHAHAAHHA

Serves you right.

I hate bloody Italy. Nobody's going to cry to have them out of the competition, only makes the EC more fun.

Seriously, I've rarely enjoyed a game with Italy in it, unless they're losing. Their play is so...filthy and backstabbing. Ugh.

My vote goes to France. Italy never stood a chance with the way they were playing in the first couple of matches, and that was proven further today when they more or less lost the first half to Bulgaria! They regained their momentum in the second half but the 2-2 Draw on the Scandinavian match was too much for them to cope with, ousting them out of the competition.

I think that one of the Danish fans' signs said it best, "2-2 Scandinavian Victory! Bye bye Italia"

haha it was good mach :D .
Now Italy is out from the championship.I hope Plamen Markov stays in the national team, he is the best coach in Bulgaria and will take us to the World Cup.

I wonder whether the match was staged, it didn't look like it, but the way the goalkeeper behaved withthe second Swedish goal seemed inappropriate for his performance during the rest of the game. Ah well.

Now let's hope the Czechs and Germans don't make an agreement tonight.

PS: No-one voted for Denmark because they don't stand a real chance. They maybe decent, but not good enough.

No need for an agreement between the Deutches and the Czech. Germany will win it and send the whinny orange ride their bicycles back home

Oh, will they?

AHAHAHAHA!!!!

Fuck you, Germany!

Shit yeah. To the finals, bitch.

Well people now have to forget the other games, things are tougher now, no matter how well you`ve played anything can happen now,

Still the best two teams, Denmark and the Czech playing against eachother already is a bit unfair, one has to go.

Germany lost to what some journalists (although journalists are often shitheads) call the "Czech B team". :P Brückner kinda spoiled that image by letting Baroš play in the end, though.

But I must say the second period was dumb luck galore for the Germans. So many chances.

Yep. Good luck tomorrow Briosa (and any other Portuguse people here), though I'm sure we'll need it more than you.

I'm just pleased we made it out of the group.

Yeah. I'm glad we're up against Sweden first. Yes, they've been playing extremely well, but at this level we should be able to beat them. But you never know with the Dutchlanders, chances always are we'll drop in quality, fail in the excellent offensive play and go back into crappy defensive.

Good thing for us Italia is outta there, tho' :D

Methinks France's still better than Denmark and Czech, tho' they're prolly the other favourites now.

I'm sorry, dude, but I can't resist: "Schade Deutschland, alles ist vorbei!"

Well, the Germans deserved to be out of it, anyway. They played crappy and boring games altogether. bah.

I wouldn't put Denmark with the top two. Chechnya and The Netherlands would be more like it, France as well.

Anyway, I'd like to see a Checnya-Netherlands final, that'd be interesting. :D

and this would be the european championship of what?

cricket
curling
lawn darts
fox hunting
cross country bike theft relay
or
ass humping?

So, opinions regarding today's match, Portugal vs. England?

In 2002, the same teams played against each other in one of the best (if not the best) game in the 2002 European Championship. The game (which many regard as historic) ended with the result of 3-2, the victory going to the Portuguese team.

How do you feel the game might go today? I'm expecting the game to be good whoever wins, though my prediction would be a 2-1 in favor of England (the result i believe to be more likely).

Uhm, dude, Chechnya is Tsjetjenië, Tsjechië would be the Czech Republic.

Yes, it'll be a good game. I'm favouring Portugal, simply because they have more soul than England, and a bit more quality.

England, pah.
