I recently had the whole dialog with Slim Picket in Trapper Town about getting the gecko skinning perk and paid the $100... but I didn't get the gecko skinning perk.

I'm playing through now with a "non-violent" type player and man is it freakin' tough going!!!!
 
Hey Killap

I have a few new bugs to report from the EPA

1) I can't use the enviro armor. If i put it on my char dissapears
(tried with or without weapons)

2) In the waste area (the ones where you have to wear the gas mask) im being attacked by something. Problem is I can't see them and my party members dont shot at them. I had to run to the elevator in combat mode just so I could end it (got the message that you cannot end combat with hostile creatures nearby)

3) In this same areas im encountering tripwires, problem is they dont do anything and in the feedback box i see that its displaying two different messages (one says hello and the other say that i avoided it)

4) The town rep for the EPA doesn't change even after doing all the quest there

Have a savegame if you want it

Also, I finished with my intelligence 3 playtrough last week but found no other bugs apart from the ones I posted before

You get the perk from Smiley when you rescue him from the toxic caves not from Slim

Sounds like you are missing frms. Corrupt install?

Those are the wasps. Again, missing frms here.

Trip wires at the EPA? Meh?

This is true. I don't have the town rep increase/decrease at the EPA. I believe the SAD is the same way.

I'm thinking the reason for the above three issues is that your save at the EPA was from RP 1.1 and you then installed 1.2. Is this correct? If not, try reinstalling - something is not right.

You aint missing much, IMHO the enviro armor shouldnt even be in the restoration project, same goes for those bugs, now I dont mean that I dont like the idea of the enviro armor, if someone was willing to make the necessary new frms for one that would be great, I just dont think that tactics material blends that well with fallout 2.
Just my 2 cents.

I reintalled Fallout 2 and 1.2 before starting the new game so its not from 1.1

Also when i try to open the enviro armor proto with f2wedit it crashes saying it can't found mapaciaa.frm

BTW are the frms for the wasps called MAWASP**.frm?, if they are I have those in my art/critters folder

Sent you the savegame anyway. I left the enviro armor in the box where you usually find it in case you're wondering where it is.

Just tested your save. Environmental armor works fine and I see the wasps (fruit flys)

Well, i guess I will have to reinstall everything again

So, what you should really be triggering there is not a trip wire, but poison from the vapors. The scripts assigned to your map are messed up. Something is definitely not right. Did you apply the fixes found on the the first page?

Yes, installed them in the order described

Ok, gonna reinstall everything again. Im downloading the installer again now

About the fixes on the first page: Do i have to download all of them or only the ones that say they are not included in the installer?

That tripwire message has been there all along, since RP 1.0 IIRC.
It only happens when you don't trigger it, but when you do it doesn't say anything about the tripwires.

That trip wire is the one at SAD, not EPA. Do you also get the trip wire at the EPA Darek?

Just install the last 3 fixes - the ones that say are not included in the updated installers.

EDIT:
Wo, there are indeed trip wires there. How the fook did that get by me. Was this reported before? Several of the spatials are pointing to the incorrect script. I will fix this for 1.3.
 
Ok. finished reinstalling everything

This is the order:

1 - Downloaded RP 1.2 from killap.net
2 - Installed Fallout 2 humongous install
3 - Installed RP 1.2 with no extras
4 - Downloaded and installed the fixes from the first page
5 - Set everything to read only
6 - Copied the savegame over
7 - Started Fallout 2 and loaded my savegame

Still cant use the enviro armor, cant see the wasps and keep getting those tripwire messages

Maybe my savegame is screwed

I don't think so. I just though that was the way it was meant to be anyway.
Meh, now I made I nice screenshot, and didn't get to use it. :(

@ Lord Danath, killap said he tested your save, so it's not screwed.

Not sure what else could be wrong. The tripwire issue is actually a known bug now, so no worries there.

Can you try to install the RP with the extras (except the ammo mod, if you don't want to)?
I remember someone had a problem before, with sulik being replaced by a fruit fly. Apparently said person had first installed the RP with the installer + the extra stuff, then later uninstalled and then used the manual install. So his saves were messed up for him, but worked for us.

Your save works perfectly fine for me, both the environmental armor and the fruit flies.

Yes, just tested again with all the extras and now it works fine

So the problem is if you dont install one of those extras, maybe the NPC Armor Mod, since thats the only one that deals with so many FRMs

Glad it worked.
Just to narrow things down a bit, what were your install history?
Did you ever have the extras installed and then later removed them?
If not, did you only use the installer without the extras?
Did you ever use the manual install?
