Where exactly in the EPA can I find the Solar Scorcher? I ran through the hole place with no luck.

Also, I thought you removed all the uber weapons. There is still a locker containing a gauss pistol and a pulse pistol, and a locker with a Gatling Laser in the "Red" level. Is this intentional?

Ah, poop. I removed the gauss guns from the warehouse and thought to check the security level as well but for some reason I only remembered there being gauss weapons at the warehouse and thus never followed through with checking the red level. The EPA is only supposed to have basic laser weaponry (not the gatling laser) and no gauss weaponry. Thanks for mentioning this.

Altered the EPA map to address the weapon placement issue as well as fix a mapping error brought to attention by Skynet. Grab fix here
 
Wow thanks for the fix, Killap ^_^ So should I go ahead and install this thing now that Kaga is dead, or will it reset him, or possibly cause some horrible side-effects?

By the way, I wish I had said more often, this Restoration Project was something I've been waiting for for a long long time, and it just keeps getting better!

I'm halfway through the Modoc quests at this time, and I haven't noticed any other bugs, aside from the one that's always been there in the Klamath Canyon where Sulik refuses to move unless I bring the malfunctioning robot right next to him.

Edit: And by the way, where can I find a list of fixes for your patch (not the expansion)

If kaga is dead then the fix will do nothing. It is safe to install at any point.

Meh? Never heard of this one. There is no reason for this to happen.

There is a text file in your Fallout2 directory that came with the RP. It lists all the unofficial patch corrections.

Yeah I thought that might be the case, but since I was solo testing stuff in the Mapper, I looked at the epac17.msg instead. I didn't find anything new there, so I thought I should ask. Now I just tested it in game and there is a small problem. Sorry to have to say this, but he doctor uses the line about giving you the GGG when giving you the Scorcher.

Heh, oh the irony. I took extra care to make sure the translated versions (french and polish) used the new lines about the scorcher that I never doubled checked that I was including the updated lines for the english version. Oh well. You will get a solar scorcher, the doctor will just talk about a super awesome gun that doesn't exist.

About weapons and the EPA - I have been looking over some the weapon descriptions - the Needler Pistol actual reads like it could be found at a location like the EPA.

"You suspect this Bringham needler pistol was once used for scientific field studies. It uses small hard-plastic hypodermic darts as ammo."

Just a thought.

I suspect I've found the cause of my problem, and it's likely not a bug in the mod. I had FO2 installed on a USB harddrive due to a cripplingly small HD in my laptop and figuring "old game, it'll be fine. It used to be, but probably the slow access time for that is statrting to show for some reason. Figured it when I tried doing the same thing with Neverwinter Nights and got a crazy slow game too. Will reinstall to the main drive. Whoops :P

@Glovz: That'd be great! I'm something of a fan of the Needler Pistol since Magnus redid the ammo. It's a good gun against armored foes, especially with AP ammo, and a stash there would make it more useful than needing to track down amo in NCR or SF> It's als omake a lot of sense.
 
Hello everyone!

I have the bug with the car in the Primitive Tribe too( I haven't got a car but it appears in the Primitive Tribe). My question is: Do I have to start over the game or use an older save from before the Primitive Tribe and Sulik's sister Quest? Because I copied the fix for this problem in the right folder and the car is still there. Sorry, found the solution.
 
This patch, and everything in it, is amazing.

One of the extras confuses me though.

"Remove random element from party member levelling"

What exactly does it do? o.O
 
hi there .. i'm sorry to bother you again but yet again i cannot enter an area .. an this time its
the den


if i enter the whole screen turns black and he won't load the den :/
but the game does not crash as i can bring up the load button by pressing escape...

but it sucks to miss some important places in this great mod ...
any way someone could help me?

or i dont know if it is illegal .. but can someone upload the language specific parts of fallout 2 so i can kick out my german parts and get the english version thats the only thing i can think of since i run fallout2 on xp now :/

(i can actually take photos of me posing with 2 original copies of each real fallout if you don't believe me ^^ got one out of a fallout 1 and 2 bundle and one as i bought play the games volume 3 and 4)

yet still i can't play those great fo2 mods because they all adress the english version and i dont wanna buy me a third fallout 2 because you don't get it in germany and importing it through amazon.com is really expensive .. 12$ just for the shipping and about 1$ for the game? that sucks big time :P
 
In normal Fallout 2, party members gain levels randomly. Every time you gain a level, each of your current NPCs has a chance to level up too. If they don't level up, the chance of it happening next time you go up a level is increased.

For example you could pick up Sulik, gain a level or two, recruit Vic, then the next time you level up they could *both* level up at the same time.

The fix relaces the random system, and makes NPCs level up every time you gain a certain number of levels. I'm not sure how this works though, as I haven't got it installed.
 
As I understand it, they're supposed to level up every four levels you do... but... I haven't seen them giving me their level up floating text. Honestly I haven't been paying much attention. Maybe they've been off-screen for them. Is there a way to be certain it's working right?

Fine then. I'll make similar chambers, since I don't have source files for this version. But how they should look (empty, with body, with skeleton, rusty, clean, opened, closed, etc.)?
 
In 1.2 without postfixes:
installation: full install = compact? (i think in full install all options will be check)
slaver's camp:
In slavers camp enemies shoots through the closed door.
In fight they run out over visible place, I needed use resolution patch to kill them, because sister's sulik don't want go. (probably it will be in den residental with squatters and other this type quest). My suggestion is add script's enemy to return to first position or add blocking items around city.
Den residental:
In last quest of lara gang (in party hause) when fight was over then lara was go into corner and other her guard's were go outside and they try walk in to wall to lara.
When the children in den are go to orphan's house? These scrpicts are not included?
Other:
With awerness perk i can see that Kaga has 600 hp so it very discourages gameplay, I thought it is second Overseer from fallout 1 (in my opinion Fallout 2 give me free play and why kaga is some kind of terminator? And why i don't choice if i agree with him to kill all from arroyo ? (for instance i play bad character). I also suggest add option to kill elder in arroyo without gameover (as optional mod? :P)
 
Shooting through the closed door in Slaver's Camp is a bug if it is happening. The rest of these problems should be in the gameplay thread.

Wow. Uhhh.

Major bug with The Abbey. I'm not sure how to describe it.

Black screen, that leaves after-images of the mouse cursor and characters(you and party members only) when they move, and only the trunk of the car so you can't leave.
 
I've encountered a possible bug in the Den. After killing the church guards for Lara, she asked me if I want to come with her and crush Tyler's party immediately or heal; I told her I wish to heal, and then I tried talking to her again to get to the next battle, but all she says is BITCH, and after that she says nothing at all.

I should say that I've accidentally hit one of Lara's gang during the fight, but once the fight was over they didn't attack me or anything.

I should also say that I've already done the Orphanage quest.

I'm running RP 1.2 with all the fixes on a Humongous US-version install. I'm also running the NPC armor mods (including Dogmeat's and Marcus' armor) and the Cassidy talking Head mod.

This is the same in original FO2. If you leave at once, AFAIK, she forgets you accidentally hit her friend.

I don't know if FO2 at all distinguishes between accidental and intentional hits? I've on many occasion accidentally hit someone during battle and have their friends turn hostile.
