That quest might be dropped in the next release. Killap mentioned something about it a while ago - the Primitive tribe will get a work over to improve the quests, etc.

Not the Primitive Tribe's Well Quest, Pixote, Arroyo's.

I don't see why it should be changed at all. It's basically a newbie errand, to introduce the game's mechanics. Suggesting it deserves its own Quest is like suggesting that you need a Quest to tell you to pick the lock on the first door you find in the Temple of Trials.

Yeah, you're right. Must've been under influence of Fallout 3 over the past few days... :P

I didn't see any mention of this bug with the 2.1.2b RP, so thought I'd report it (LOVE you, by the way Killap--wonderful mod)!

None of the EPA followers you can get will trade with you, making it to where the only way to give them stuff is to reverse pick pocket. Also, the EPA is lacking the exit grid to the mad scientist from previous RP versions.

Again, excellent mod; can't wait for the next version!

Also... rather curious bug. Because as far as I remember, I had no issues trading with my EPA follower(s). I typically resorted to "Reverse Pickpocketing" (which is really a FO3/FONV term, so I'm not fond of using it here) because it was more convenient and saved me time, but I still had the option to trade with them using the NPC interface...

strange...I used the auto install version of the mod, so I don't see how I could have screwed something up. Very odd, if it's just me.

But I tried with all 3 of them, and none will trade with me. Any idea if it is likely a bug or something I did?

As for the term 'reverse pickpocket,' I always thought it was rather catchy, lol

You can definitely trade with them. Never heard of this issue either. What happens if you hit the trade button? Does some message come up?

Very strange...

Yeah, it says "this critter cannot barter" or something like that. Nice to meet the maker of my favorit mod in 'person' by the way :D

Hello.
I am playing Rp 2.1.2.b.
I would like to post 2 bugs or problems that i encountered:
Navaro map : i cant detect the traps anymore.( i could when i was playing just the unofficial patch )
In den the expanded gang war, after the church battle u are asked to continue the battle in the residential area.
I had Sulik with me , but when i was teleported there the dialog would not start , after 3-5 seconds the battle begun but after Laura and co , would not go away , nor would she start dialog about the reward and just stand there. I went back to the church map and there laura was still there and asked me again to participate in the residential hit, i accepted and was again teleported there , and guess what laura was also there.
I reloaded --- the same result.
I found a work around by telling Sulik to wait for me , and then started the battle at the church ,and then in the residential area the dialog started ( hey i'm drunk ... why is she here ... ) and the quest finished ok .

I completed the game again with the RP, using en evil character. I have two questions:

1. Is there any plans for the "Kill Badger" bug to be fixed. I mean the cases where you kill him (not the Shi) and the Quest is not completed. I had to use a GVAR editor to do it.

2. Now that when the Shi Chemistry Computer Terminal can give fuel only to the Shuttle or the Tanker is there a way for both of them to be fueled (except the low Intelligence talk to AHS-9)?

3. Is it possible the conversation bug with Dave Handy to be fixed? The one where you're blocked from completing the porn star quest if not asked "Why did he come down? and removing you last chance to reroute the fuel (except the talk to ASH-9 again)?

I have no idea what the official position on this is, but I had the impression that it's supposed to be such that there is only enough fuel for one or the other and anything else is either a bug or a dirty workaround.

I mean, is there even any other way to get to the platform than the tanker? Maybe another method (i.e. Vertibird) was planned, got scrapped due to time limits (or logical improbability) and Black Isle felt they had to "fix things".

Though I would argue for choice and consequence, here: if the player is gullible enough to support the Hubologists' crackpot scheme and go for it -- and I don't mean for the lulz (with a backup save, naturally) -- then said player deserves to be stuck.

I also think that the original intention was to have fuel only for one thing. But it just feels strange - for first time I decided do support the Hubologists and I got stuck.

On the other side I feel that using the Vertibird to go to the Oil Rig is kind of cheap.

You've got to be incredibly lucky, crafty, and cunning, OR slaughter a large section of Navarro (which is no small feat) to be able to use the Vertibird for reaching the Oil Rig. Then again, it does seem that the game was ultimately colored by the choice to make the Tanker your only method of travel there, because where else were you going to store your rescued tribe in and escape the nuke blast with? Arriving on a single Vertibird certainly does beg the question of how you managed to get the several-hundred Vault 13 Dwellers and Arroyo Villagers OFF of the Rig and to safety in a single trip to escape certain death.

But other than that, gameplay-wise, I don't think using the Vertibird is "cheap" at all. What did you mean?

Back to the bugs... I too encountered "difficulties" with the expanded gang war, but nothing that halted my progress. Sometimes they'd go straight to combat, sometimes they'd start with dialog of Tyler recognizing me. I guess the presence of companions is what causes this to fluctuate?

But FOvet, if your EPA companion bug is consistent, you would be best off taking a save and uploading it so killap and the others can take a look at it to see if anything in the code is causing your problem. If they haven't encountered any given bug, there's literally very little they can do with just descriptions.

Yeah, It just doesn't make sense how the whole tribe can be evacuated in a single vertibird.

Well, if it was possible to go to the Oil Rig this Way, isn't it алсо possible to steal it while you pretend that you are one of them (using the Power Armor and all)?

Thanks Snapslav--I'll do that, because it is consistant, at least for me. But ummm...newb Q here...where do I upload it at?

As for the using the vertiberd to get to the Enclave, I love that option (but didn't Killap remove it in 2.1.2b? I thought I read that in the readme file). I second Snap---if you manage this feat, you either got REAL lucky or you just wiped out almost everyone at Navarro. When I did this, I tried to sneak and do it, but got busted; ended up getting into a massive gunfight. At least I got to kill Sgt. Dornan though :D

Interesting, every time when I get to that part dressed as one of them, Dornan is telling me to go on a post to guard the Vertibird.

(I just love how this guy pronounces "magoo--ot" )

Don't you mean "moron"?

But yeah, he always sends you on that never-ending errand, regardless of your version of the game. It was another one of those "dead end" choices you could make that was supposed to stress caution. If you talked to Dornan (which you weren't supposed to) things would end badly. Either he'd kill you for repeatedly addressing him "out of uniform", or he'd kill you for "dereliction of duty" when you "abandoned your post".

Anywhere that can host the files, and from which you could subsequently link to, here. I've personally used 4shared, because it's easy, free, and whatever limitations it may have, it's more than adequate for my purposes. You might also want to post the links on the Vault Tec Labs wiki's Bug Report section, because they may have an easier time combing through the bugs list there than here. (Speaking of which, I'll probably wanna post my list of typos there, since I think they went unnoticed, here...)

Speaking of speaking of which... killap, when submitting screenshots of typos, is there a particular method you'd prefer? I just took screenshots of the conversation as I came to it, but in retrospect I figured it might be better (and easier for you to sort through) if I clicked the "REVIEW" button and took a screenshot of that. In either case I'd edit the picture to highlight the error, so it's just a question of whether one is better than the other.

Yeah, all this talk of the vertibird got me confused since I thought I removed it after various discussions. There is still a way to "fly a vertibird" but it doesn't involve going to the Enclave.

@SnapSlav
It doesn't really matter. As long as I know the character and full sentence the typo happened in that should be enough.
