It is obvious that we can say this coming patch will be one of the most extensive bug free patch i think, as waited above the average time. Also one of the most concurrent thread so far.
 
hey all,

found a little bug at the Bishop's Casino, there's some disturbance in the dialogue:

If you talk to the pit boss before you win the old man's jackpot and ask about it, he acts as if you have did that already, but after you've won it he tells you about the slot-machine instead (dialogue-script switched for some reason)

Also, with Luck of 9, I was able to win the prize without repairing the slots, but it's still manageable to repair it after for 50 xp, when the machine has supposedly kicked the bucket.
 
get a savegame close to both problems and post it in the wiki like it's said in the first post. ;)

Try reading the first post of this thread. Or the instructions in the installer when you run it.
Ive read the first post but the installation instruction didnt even mention the patch, so i was unsure.
Ive read it on the installer, its clear now.

Still waiting for an answr on the Kaga issue. Can you solve his last encounter without killing him?

Also another thing. Is Vic supposed to look "special" with power armour on? I just gave him the standard PA and he looks just like any other PA-wearer which also meant that he all of the sudden can use Plasma Rifles and other big weapons.
Sulik and Cassidy has their own PA-frames (Sulik with tribal markings on his PA and Cassidy with chevrons) although Sulik in APA looks just like me.
Is there anywhere I can look up which animations the NPCs are supposed to have?

Unfotunately the creator of custom look for NPCs didn't make PA animations for Vic. So he uses standard ones. I've been thinking a long time for making Vic PA animations myself since it's a matter of copypasting the head and maybe adding some custom armor mark (gear, maybe? Since he's a mechanic).

As for APA, afaik there are no custom animations, all APA users look the same.

Hmm, I somehow remember seeing in some thread an idle animation of someone in PA taking the helmet off, and wiping off sweat or something, and I thought that was for Vic. Is this idle animation not in the NPC armor mod?

BTW, if you do create a custom PA armor for Vic, consider keeping the helmet on. I think it would look stupid if everyone just ran around with their helmet off. For soldiers in the military a helmet is always the first piece of protection that goes on, some lucky guy might get a vest of some sort. It's amazing how often in fiction head protection is neglected. I'm not dumb I know it's so you can see the character's face, but still.

Well, when you ask questions that might have been asked once or twice already, with a username like that someone might accuse you of falling on the left side of the bell curve which tries to depict the distribution of smarts in the human race.

I.e. on these forums it's more common that the first reply to the first post of a new user makes is "Search function noob!" than "Welcome to the NMA community!"

Also, don't double post or your cat might find itself gutted and headless on your porch the following day.
 
Hi,

i'm getting the Fallout appears to be running in compatibility mode error with F2 Restoration Project 2.1.2b on Win2k. I have the gog.com version of Fallout 2 (pre-patched to 1.02d i believe). I checked the available compatibility settings, but nothing is enabled. Fallout 2 without restoration did not work ("Error Initializing video mode 640x480") until after i installed unofficial drivers for my Voodoo 3. Any pointers to what might be wrong?

My system stats:
Athlon Thunderbird 750MHz
256MB RAM
Voodoo 3 3000 (SFFT 1.5 drivers)
Win2k SP4 (fully patched)

Thanks for the info. Also thanks for the Kaga info. Guess I'll have to wear the APA myself. Too bad, I've always thought that the standard PA is much cooler.

To be honest - I think every NPC should have their own unique head on the ADV Power Armor. They can use the animations that removes the helmet and wipes the face, that way you can distinguish them...at the moment each normal Power Armor has a unique feature for each NPC. Alternatively don't gave them helmets, that way you can always see their heads - but doing that would be a ball breaker for the critter builders. The only good thing is that each character has a set of unique weapon skills, so you wouldn't need to do every weapon set...but it would be preferable to do every weapon set, for the mod makers. :roll:
 
Hum another bug for me and my poor skynet.

I get down in the EPA and skynet don't follow me. Okay, cause it's normal he can't (or it ?) get down by a rope. But when I went up to try the solar gun, he was gone. Vanished. I finish EPA quests, and then, with my new frend Katy, I went to SF to deal with my full inventory. But Skynet don't come back. I can't find him.

If I well remember I had the same bug the first time I use RP with Canigou in the Sierra Station, I ask him to wait for me in the second level to avoid him walking on the electric floor, and when I want to take him back, he vanished also.
I tought it was because I played a bad caracter (childkiller), cause Cassidy doesn't want also to come back with me. But Cassidy was still here. Canigou not.

And now, the same happen with my lovely skynet (and the sniper gun he had... witch is more precious than skynet).
 
Hi, great mod Killap as everything you have done, got only one question now: How to date Miss Kitty before winning the game? Walkthrough says it's possible but CH 9 is not good enough for her...
 
Tom9k, you can't. The walkthrough says "successfully asked her out", not "successfully went out with her"
That is supposed to be read as 'the rules of dating her hasn't changed, if you successfully ask her out, you still have to wait until you have finished the game to actually go on the date'.
Sorry if I didn't write that clearly enough.
It does make the +1 Ag pretty pointless as you can just use the hintbook instead. But it is how it was originally coded and unfortunately there is no doubt that it was meant to be this way.
 
Sorry if it was mentioned before, the search function doesn't give results as posts.
Playing F2+RP 2.1.2b, no patches as RP's readme says they're included.


1) There's no map to SAD in Sam Pritchard's grave on Golgotha. I've checked every grave, then took a look in FO2Mapper - nothing.

2) In Den, Fred didn't spawn after Rebecca asked to get money from him.

- High Perception is needed, when searching the Pritchard's grave.
(the map probably appears through some script, after the PE check; thus is not visible in the mapper)
- Fred is always here, I think. Even if you don't have the quest accepted.
(He have the "citizen of Den" description.)
