that explains the "thingy" item that I ended up with .. -176453 lbs or something like that..

it was a shrub according to the description..
I did click on one to see what it was so I thought I'd accidentally picked it up..

does it also explain the crash I got when I came back from th stimpack quest the first time I went there? I had picked the pelts up..

@killap - You know - I'm not really sure how to upload a file to the forum, so I was going to just e-mail it to you, but now that I'm looking through my folder, there is no SAVEGAME subfolder with the slots in it. When I load the game up, all of my saves are there, but I cannot find them on my computer. Is this because I just reinstalled everything? Because I didn't move the save files but I can still load them in the game.

There are lots of useful information on the fallout wikia... I just snagged this bit as I'm too lazy to write it myself.
A "missing" FO2 savegame directory is a Windows Vista issue. Save games and other items are placed in a hidden AppData folder, usually located at C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\BlackIsle\Fallout2. It's called the Virtual Store, and it's part of Vista's UAC. Any file writes to the Program Files directory by limited user applications are rerouted there, so if you installed Fallout anywhere apart from the Program Files folder you won't be affected. You also won't be affected if you set Fallout to run as administrator, or completely disable UAC (which is strongly advised if using many pre-Vista apps). It can actually cause a problem for people who don't know about it; if you start a game of Fallout, and then later on set Fallout to run as administrator, all your saves will vanish.
and this:
You can upload the savegames to sites like rapidshare.com, megaupload.com or 4shared.com.

Yes.

don't know if it's been mentioned ( perhaps an official 2.1.1 known bugs thread is in order? .... devs and asociates only posting? ), but you can run behind the cliff face in the vault city village.. the map is missing some blockers it seems?

you run off to the top right above the crop field if that narrows it down..

in the temple of trials i ALWAYS used to be able to disarm the trap behind the door that you blow up, no longer with this install. also, i engaged Cameron in combat and when i did so his name and damage values from and to did not appear. not a big deal, but it's never happened to me before and has not happened to me since. i know it happens. just thought i'd mention it.
sorry for the verbosity, the canyon thing is really the only thing riding me

since no one has replied to this ( that I could see in my quick scan of the replies nearby ) I thought I would..

I managed to disarm it after about 8 attempts.. .
the combat info you speak of.. is this a "combat looks" thing and did you have it turned on? or is it the perk ( awareness i think it is where you see info on the targets hp and weapon stats? )

Ah, excellent. I tried doing a search at The Vault and I didn't find this explanation. It must have been in the forums or something? Anyway, thank you.

There is an RP bug wiki. The link is in the first post of this thread. Only a few people seem to make use of it...

Yes, the bugged pelts are the cause of the Primitive Tribe stimpack quest crash. However, this should no longer be present if you started a new game with 2.1.1. Is this not the case?

link to bug report for people who are too lazy to check the first page (llike myself) -

Besides, it does nearlly look like you are overseeing my posts, because i did post like 19 posts and just 2 got answered .... like my Redding post about the map and obscured object ?? :) .

Ok most of my post are answers to other people's questions, and i will try my best to ease the developers from answering the same questions again and again... or at least try because i am not as good as them.

Just a offtopic thing -
[spoiler:050e875bd9]In Fallout Online 2238, in one random encouter i encoutered a player named The Bear Dude. If his name was something else, i would flee but, ... i was thinking it really IS the bear dude Killap - so i runned to him to take a talk. And he knocked me down. Taked all my stuff (happen all the time on the server, even when i am writing this post, some people do not manage to get beyond level 2 - getting killed on the spawnpoint and then because of horribly bad gameplay and balance) [/spoiler:050e875bd9]

And sorry for my english, it sucks !

I have the "critically hit for 0 damage" bug..every critical does 0 damage.
I have a clean install of Fallout and i have included everything in the RP installer

was a clean install and a new game.. still crashed first time into the village.. sorry...

a lot of people are not comfortable or conversant with editing a wiki.

What fighting system did you have ? Did you have the F2 installed with RP before ? If yes it could be because there was different thing installed - i mean the fighting system, if i am right its YAAM now ...
..
iif its not the case, then i remember some other 0 damage bug.... but... don't remember the answer so Darek or Killap will help ya :)

Sry cannot help but must post... :D

Odd. Well, do other people still have this issue? I think I'll just remove the pelts for good.

I understand that, which is why I say it is fine to post in this thread or over at the wiki.

And you are running 2.1.1, yes? Did you modify any of the ammo mod settings in the ddraw.ini?

Nope, the pelts work for me. Maybe there is something else left that is bugged?

it only crashed the first time i picked them up.. the second time it gave me a "brush" in my inventory ( which is scenery?... ) and it weighed -174344 lbs or something.. I droped it on a random encounter..

now on to something new.

my car ran out of fuel on the world map but instead of taking me to a map with it on, the cursor just stopped, the car picture dissapeared from the worldmap ( it reverted to "foot mode" ) and no circle came up with "car out of gas" as the map title..

had I not clicked the triangle and refueled it I might have lost the car? ( by not knowing where I'd left it? )

I shall drive about again until it's empty to see if it's repeatable..

Killap, a big issue here, even with restoration 2.0, i had at times crashes, that would freeze, whatever i was doing in fallout, i could press button to get to main windows screen, but everything was big, mouse nolonger works and even the touchpad refused to work, except when doing a alt+ctrl+del, there touch would work, but no mouse still. Had to log off, to regain control over computer. This have now happened in a battle vs scorpions in a cave on a random map, sorry no save as it crashed. this is with 2.1.1 and nothing else.

Any clue why this is happening???

but note, not happened as often in 2.1.1 as in 2.0 :) and its a great restoration.

I can confirm the crashes with 2.0 ... i did get them randomly, but mostly in fights (and i did know i cannot save in battle because of the apparence bug...) so it was annoying. To know it could crash any time in battle, but not possible to save.. and then it crashed :D . But i didnt have the mouse problem - maybe changing some value in configs could stop your king of crashes?? *hint hint* .

No crashes with 2.1.1. YET. But on the second note - in 2.0 when trying to use the other two graphic modes (if i remember correctly the D9 ones) instead of the 0 basic one, it did work, but when i tried to alt+tab from the game the game did always crash. No problem in 0 with alt tabbing.... and i havent tried the other modes than 0 on 2.1.1. so, if i may have a question, does it work in 2.1.1 ? Or was i the only one with "alttabbing" problem :X

ran into a problem concerning Sierra Army Depot, I have squired skynet and he has the cyber brain, his is in mu group, but he doesn't deactivate the forcefields are the other robots, (at least on level 1 where I got the motivator) as they still active and shoot on sight, I though skynet was suppose to disable the security system? but oddly its not working, unless there is something special I need to do first?

PS how do you disable force fields? as I can't do it, it was a save from 2.1, unless that has something to do with it?

realise what I did, I flipped the switch to shut down the power, now how to disable forcefields, hopefully this will allow skynet to shut down the security system

edit

still not working, skynet will still not deactivate the security system even with full power, I did mess around with some of the computers on different levels, unless that has done something? this is most strange

Templayer, what do you mean by changing values? like what values and what files???

this was my first crash in 2.1.1 as i said, used to get them more often in 2.0

in your f2 folder you have various .ini and .cfg files, for various things - you can use them to configure the game, inside of them there is a commentary on what what does (or in some should be) you can set the colors and resolution, the mode (8-bit, 16-bit,32-bit) and stuff like that. There are also some attribs and values for keyboard and mouse, because of the weird blocked mouse when crash you have. You can try to find that line that is concerning mouse (only if it crashes more frequently) and set it to something else... ie from 0 to 1 and backwards. You are free to experiment with several things.... but some you shouldnt try (they should be commented to not set them otherwise..)

Just open some .ini file with notepad and you will get mah point.

As i see your problem - it could be some bug, Memory leak, graphic problem, direct problem (propably the input). Ask Darek and Killap ;) .

Besides, reminds me of my graphical glitch with F2 - when playing in 8-bit graphic mode, after some time playing the game graphic inverses. The colors are completely inversed (weird). I can play normally, no crash or something, but its damn annoying to have things like pink blue etc. I know this is me-unique glitch, because its not R2 or F2 fault, other games that are running 8-bit are makeing the same thing after a period of time... (probably my graphic card). We'll... these are old games... muuuch old games i like to play :D :D
