Fallout 4 coming out on November 10, free mobile spin-off out now

Here's a tidbit for those of you who haven't heard yet:

Bethesda actually OK'd it. I have a question. Which one of you GOOBERS got a Fallout 4 preorder for 2000+ bottle caps? It had to be someone around here. No one else would try to save that many bottle caps!

Oh that was me. I'm gonna sell it for $500 or more on EBay and I didn't even have to pay a cent! Joke's on Bethesda.

He added note that delivering this huge package of bottle caps to Beth HQ through mail was far more costly than day one purchase actually.

• Howard says Bethesda has been advocating to get mods on Microsoft consoles since 2001. Its hope is to not curate the content much at all but have its ecosystem stay as close to the PC experience as possible.

Then he should've been talking to Sony instead since they allowed mods to be used for Unreal Tournament III on PS3.

Think of all the money Game Freak would rake in with 721 Pokmeon Amiibos though

And that's not counting the protagonists, gym leaders, elite four, champions, professors, evil organizations...

Easily 800 possible figures, at $7-$10 each...

and people would by them by the truckload

So many games nowadays are collect-a-thons...

TF2, DOTA2, LoL, CS:GO...

OT, but:

But the "collectibles" in most of those games don't significantly impact the gameplay, do they? Dota 2 offers cosmetic skins and visual effects that don't touch gameplay. I know you can buy different guns and hats in CS:GO and TF2, but regularly play is possible without them. They aren't forced on you. It's optional.

Plus, in all those games, their respective communities wants and purchases those "collectibles". Valve offered, people responded positively, so Valve continued. A company offers a product, and the long time fans willingly buy them, trade them, and make items of their own. I don't see the issue. Isn't that a part of the free market?

I was just using it as an equivalent of "See that mountain?" Or "It just WORKS". The link holds some good news, but I'm cautious.

See that Shrine YOU CAN build it, See that Temple YOU WILL worship me, See my ass YOU WILL kiss it.
