Fallout 4 leaked screenshots (SPOILERS)

The thing with modders is often the requirement for those mods are much higher than normal due to increased poly count (among other things) . Maybe that is why Bethesda doesn't use higher quality textures? Or they just suck..
 
The game takes place 210 years after the bombs fall not 200 years, that apparently is evident now. That sucks, that blows out any speculation about what BoS division is in Fallout 4, who the fuck knows now.

I am preparing for Feed the People White Knight Lyon's Pride Steel Be With you of Righteous Justice now. 20 year old Arthur Maxson will lead the BoS flying in his Prydwen to save the people of Boston. So much for a none lame BoS division in Fallout 4, such a disappointment. The speculation was solid enough to suggest it couldn't be Lyon's, but it was wishful thinking.

So basically they went in with the mindset of "Why bother making these textures look good? Modders will do that for us but we'll be the ones getting payed!" Lovely.

Oh we all know its going to be Lyons BoS. I just hope to God that they don't touch anything related to New Vegas since its takes place six years after NV. I will be so goddamn mad if they do! :mad:

Keep in mind, Bethesda was more than happy to take money from modders for fixes they worked on, and only relented because of the PR it was costing them.

Fallout 3 already butchered the authenticity and legitimacy of the franchise, along with the previous "Fallout" game that released four years before. I doubt Bethesda will leave NV untouched.
 
Had nowhere to put it, and since it's not interesting enough to make a new thread for it, I will just post it here, for a lack of a better fitting thread.

I think I might have just found what inspired Bethesda when creating their face of the male Sole Survivor. It seems like it's the character Michael Green from "When A man Loves A Woman" played by Andy Garcia.

Tell me if there's a resemblance or I'm just seeing things.

Eh, I can see them leaving the west coast out of it this time. They literally haven't commented on New Vegas once afaik, they pretty much always reference FO3 in terms of how they designed the game. I can see them including some nods to NV though, but they'll probably be done pretty poorly.
 
Well, the graphics could look shittier in these screenshots because they're on console (E3 was probably on PC with an Xbox controller) and they've been compressed/uploaded (PS4 seems to lose quality in screenshots) but it wouldn't really surprise me if it ended up looking that shitty.

Ah well.

You can camouflage low poly count with good Normal Maps.
 
Or maybe the graphics only look good in VERY specific low light conditions? If the game looks like the first set of screenshots at any point is the game's fault, not the player.

Why is it the games fault that someone takes a compressed print screen with low brightness?
 
The first screenshots are not any more "compressed" than the second set, also the low brightness is what helped the second set of screenshots to look good, the first set of screenshots were taken during the day so the lightning in those is entirely the fault of the game. And yo ucan still see shoddy texturework on the second set. Stop making excuses for the game, it's also locked at 30 fps.

Is from the second set. Same illumination from the ones on the first set, and it looks like ass too.

Your "second set" is from the same uploader. Your third set is a better direct capture solution (JPEG versus PNG). If you can't see any difference in those, perhaps the optometrists will be seeing multiple people.
 
What are you talking about?

The newest screenshots look fucking amazing.

Of course the first screenshots are compressed and there is no post processing there. They are even double compressed first to JPG and then again by Imgur.

I would give the graphics of the first screenshots a 6.

The new one look really solid, easily an 8.

And the new ones are "real" cause that's how a direct capture from the PS4 looks.
