Just for kicks, which version can I expect my files to pop-up in?
BAAAHHH dammit. I always forget something. I meant to include them in this one, so I guess 6.2 it'll have to be. :?
And after you took the time to e-mail me, too.

I guess people will get slaughtered by the Brotherhood of Steel another time...

EDIT : I bit the bullet and signed-up on Gamefront. My patch is now available for download. So now you can take on the new and improved BoS at any time!

Gratitude for the latest version. However the Quick Reference Card (keyboard shortcuts pdf) did not install, even though I selected it during the installation.

alpha 6.1 is finished. I don't have time to get to the library tonight, so it'll be uploaded tomorrow.

Is there a changelog?
I'll be uploading within an hour or two. Since you asked, you're the first one to see it! Congrats. ;)

EDIT: moved to the actual posting of the release :P

I felt so priviliged!

Just swinging by to say, this project is looking more and more interesting. I just did a playthrough of Fallout (I have neglected this game) and it crashed the hell out of me during the invasion of the mutant base :D Froze the whole computer, yay!
Obviously, I put a lid on the game for now, but a title like "FIXT!" does hint to a lot of promise :]

Now, I'm not as deeply acuainted with FO as I am with FO2 tho, so I'm not sure I would be of much help testing-wise, so I'm probably just gonna wait :0 FO is still a game where I am still not sure where to go or what to do next, unlike FO2, that I know like my own nostril.

But, yeah, looks very promising!!!

I've added an entry in the Bug Report about a minor but noticeable graphics glitch.

The text for certain traits overflow out of their text box, which remains on display even after selecting something else.

Did you select original or detailed trait descriptions?

It happens with both. The entry I added also includes a link with a screenshot of the problem.

that's crazy I don't understand how that's possible, I was meticulous in testing the spacing of those. I worked on it for probably four hours at least, and went through them over and over making sure everything fit. Bummer :(

Tested the German uncut version.
It works.
Next thing I will check is if it gets disabled by changing the language to english and then back to german.

Is it possible that the alternate font choices may use screen space differently? Personally, I was using the default font.

I've had two glitches with 6.1 so far. Near Shady Sands I had a random encounter with a "weary traveler" who asked me where I was from and what I was up to. I told him I'd learned it was unwise to share that information with strangers, and he confided that he came from Shady Sands. I convinced him to take me to Shady Sands (even though it was very close on the map) but we arrived to a black screen. I think everything was present and working because the music was playing and I could hear the clicks when I pressed the mouse button, but the entire screen was black. Got a save on the weary traveler encounter if you want it.

Second glitch, I had the raider camp go bananas on me when I showed up at night one time (in order to rescue Tandi). All the floating text about the Khans thinking I was a ghost seemed to roll off really, really fast, with no delay (you couldn't read it because it was flickering so fast), and I could run through walls. I started combat and killed everyone, and everything seemed to work okay from that standpoint. In the end I restored the save I made just before I left Junktown (I went there first to pick up Tycho and Dogmeat), and the second time it seemed to work okay. I don't have a save of this because it didn't happen the second time and I'm not at all sure what's going on there anyway. I'll look into it more. Never had this happen with 6.0 or earlier.

EDIT: I've been having the world map crashes too. They're very odd. So far I haven't noticed any pattern to them.

FWIW, I really dig FIXT. If nothing else, it gives me a reason to play F1 again. It reminds me why I prefer the story focus and setting of 1 over 2.

Well, I need to add my weird experience too.
There are supposed to be hookers in Hub as usual.
But they are not. And Im sure I checked installation button though.
Kinda weird, anyone else experienced this?

somehow the description box is bugged? many texts are not in the box :(
check the pic {"Plz" bitch-slap me.}! but thanks a lot for all your efforts man!

Ahh, I saw this before.
The thing is: When you have text, that is longer than the box itself, and you then change to another skill, the overlapped text remains and only the fitting text gets erased.
But you actually never miss a textblock, so it's not that bad for me.
(Hope it gets clear what I meant).
