actually, moving a lit flare from hand to inventory, which in itself is quite a stupid thing to do... especially when placing it next to a pile of 10-mm cartridges
LOL.

Seconded on the lol.

And thanks, probably just a weird exception from my lit flare code.

Hey I just want to thank everyone sincerely for your kind words and support. It's really great to have "fans". I think I can speak for modders that when we feel unmotivated or discouraged or whatever, you motivate us to continue. Thank you for being supportive and nice and appreciative of our efforts. Modding takes a crazy amount of hours but is a lot of fun most of the time, and knowing people love our work makes it that much more fulfilling :)

Good stuff Sduibek...

First I want to congratulate you on all your effort Sduibek. Fallout and Fallout 2 still continue to capture fans year after year despite being 15 years old. I would rather pay you and the other modders for a few minor changes to a game like fallout, than pay some of the game companies 60 dollars for the crap they release now a days. (and don't even get me started on paying 60 dollars for PC games, which I don't even get on Blu-Ray or HD-DVD's).

Anyways, I didn't come here to rant :P

I have a question about the installation of Fallout FIXT. After searching through some posts, I understand that the "tpatch.exe" file that the installer tries to run at the end contains fixes for the cathedral and another fix I can't think of at the momemt. Has some workaround been found for running the "tpatch.exe" file on a 64-bit OS or am I just S.O.L.?

Thank you! And I agree, the industry has gone to shit.

The only way you can run that exe is through a 32-bit OS, or virtualization software. Windows XP Mode would be great for that, if you have Pro or higher of Windows 7 it's included you just have to download the package.

Bugs so far, the little radscorpion in vats has no labels and when asking agatha for a story the screen just goes black for a second and thats it.

Boo :P

Well thanks for a response anyways.

Crash in Old Town

I have a consistent crash in Old Town- The Hub. It happens when I try to walk into the building that Vance is in.

Here is the error I am getting:
"the instruction at 004d2c6f refrenced memory at 00000000
the memory could not be read from"

I have not modded Fallout; aside from the FIXT alpha 5 mod.

Any help would be appreciated.

These are known issues, thank you though! Let me know if you find any others

I should have a patch for these by the end of the week:

Vance crash
Ian missing
Ian missing seems to be because I commented out the lines for a bunch of needed graphics files in the Include section of the installer, in addition to the ones that did need to be commented out. Human error for the win!

The good news is this means when I release 5.1, players from 5.0 won't have to start over.
