Fallout: New Vegas quest troubleshooting (spoilers)

I think somebody might have already asked this but I am not sure if you got a chance to answer but does the pacifist nature extend to robots as well? How do you feel about destroying robots?

Shutting them down is fine, destroying them isn't.

Regardless, the only weapon I carry is a sniper rifle just so I can look through the scope to find baddies to avoid, so I couldn't destroy them even if I wanted to.

Well, this is weird. I visiting the BoS in Hidden Valley and took Veronica with me to do her quest and then I did the quest for the Elder McNamara and then he said go to where these scouts are. So I figured I could do what I need to do in Primm/NCRCF/Goodsprings area while I'm there so I told Veronica to go home because I'm not gonna get back to her quest until I get back to New Vegas. I then left via the Hidden Valley gate towards the NCRCF. I passed by the North Camp of the Powder Gangers and they're friendly with me because I have an "Accepted" status with Powder Gangers. But then as I approached the two Powder Gangers on the road at the intersection near the railroad tracks, one of them aggros on me and all of a sudden all the Powder Gangers in the area attack me.

Is this a glitch or is it because I am Liked with NCR or something else? Because to get back through that area I guess I'm gonna have to have that PG die and Veronica can do that for me. I just have to restore back. Of course, restoring back might fix the glitch if it is a glitch. LOL

You sure you're not wearing faction armor? I think Powder Gangers are hostile to the BOS. They certainly are to NCR, but then again wearing NCR armor means the brotherhood will want nothing more than to vaporize you too.

I have no Recon Armor yet. And I'm sure it's heavier than the Stealth Suit

Get some, it's not hard to find. It doesn't weigh any more than the Chinese Stealth Suit, it just has better DT.

I know you don't like fast travelling but this is might be a glitch and I feel that it might be better role playing to fast travel here to avoid the possible glitch rather than go out of character and get Veronica to kill for you...

Maybe you spent too much time in their Camp, Powder Gangers only tolerate you for a short time I think.

This.

Lots of things can set off the Powder Gangers; they're very volatile, as a faction. Sometimes they don't like it when you disarm their powder charges that line the camp perimeters. Other times they don't give a shit. Sometimes they're cool with you. Other times loitering for 30 seconds is taken as a sign of hostility.

You most likely just triggered their "short-term tolerance".

Recon armor is medium class armor piece.
The chinese stealth suit is light class armor piece.
People who use the [Travel light] perk (http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Travel_Light)
won't benefit extra movement speed if wearing recon armor.

If the character you made has no physical strength and obviously wants to avoid melee fighting, then should always travel light, take advantage of speed & stealth instead.

Slight spoiler:
This is why the new lightweight dusters from the latest dlc
(lonesome road) are truly are great additions to the game,
Now light travelers are deadlier than ever before :)

Haven't had an update in a while... How far have you gotten?

I'm wandering around the wasteland doing side quests and stuff while also meeting up with the people Yes Man told me to meet up with. Currently back in Primm/Goodsprings area finishing up some quests I have in my quest log.

Haven't really been playing a lot though lately. Have other stuff to do. :(

Okay, got back to it. Have a problem.

Trying to do the Beyond the Beef quest and apparently the non-violent solution involves getting a recipe from Philippe. The problem is I can't find Philippe. I have been all over this damn Ultraluxe Hotel and he's not anywhere. I am assuming this is a giant game bug because I can't be that oblivious. Pretty sure he's supposed to be in the kitchen. Could it be I did something in the wrong order or did an earlier quest cut off the non-violent option in this quest? This is really annoying me. >_<

He was always in the kitchen for me.

Though, I think you don't need the recipe from him. If you have high enough survival skill and stuff, you might be able to do your own thing.
