Fallout 1 mod FO1 to FO2 conversion, for real

I also want to point out that I tried renaming the fallout2.cfg to fallout.cfg and also took into account that Install.bat extracts master.dat and critter.dat is already included with the Konstruktor install.

Which means that the cfg file was edited as thus:

[system]
critter_dat=data\
critter_patches=data\
master_dat=data\
master_patches=data\
language=english

EDIT:

Just noticed I was missing a bunch of font files that were located in the Russian_fargus folder that were not located in the English folder..

Went ahead and extracted those files from the master.dat and now it at least loads up....Then immediately goes to a black screen and closes with no error messages..

Shit. lol
 
Can you repost the english version? Or maybe it would be great if NMA could host the files...the links in this thread are all dead or download limit reached

Is this really working?
I can play Fallout 1 with F2 engine, timeslip sfall, etc?
This mean I don't need to kill the NPCs anymore if they block my path?

It is not yet finished. You can play around with it, but serious playing isn't going to work.

EDIT: Where can I download the english version? Most of the links are broken now.
 
i tried it out for a bit and the first thing i noticed, melee attacks are useless.

rats mostly take no damage and that's when i can hit them.

i had more luck using a pistol even though my character was set up for melee and not gunmanship.

then the elevator in vault 13 doesn't work.

it will indeed be awesome if it works, though.
 
Well I finally got this to actually work, first thing you have to do to make the rats work is to set all the critter proto files to READ ONLY as they aren't set to this by default and promptly delete themselves.

Otherwise, its still lacking one or two things like the ocean can be ran all over, haha and mountains don't slow you down. I don't think there are any random encounters either?
 
There is much more important stuff to do first, before this can be played in a serious way.
 
Work for this mod has been stopped - system & HDD crash =( A long time ago...
Jordan work now for Fallout Hope Project.
