Game of Thrones - The night dark and full of spoilers.

I will say though, that Daenerys becoming ruined for annoying third wave feminist and SJW's on Twitter, The Mary-Sue and RetardEra is quite possibly one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time. No more "Yaas slay queen! It's her turn!" being shown on Twitter, articles or threads. Their precious progressive feminist queen is literally Dragon Hitler. Which is exactly what would happen if any of these insane weirdos ever got a smidge of power.
Ahh, finally the Legion isn’t the worst thing to come along in a fictional series.

It is our time to rise, brothers under Caesar.

Will give Caesar this, he wouldn't have burned down a entire city and their soldiers to ash after they surrendered. That would be stupid for a conqueror to do.

Because even 4 INT Caesar has basic knowledge of warfare. Dany is just some uppity bitch with dragons.

I hate

Hate

HATE the FUCKING Targaryens, and Dany near the end of the series encompasses everything I hate about them. My measure for a leader is how they’d act with their power taken away; if they were a “normal peasant”. Dany is NOTHING without her dragons, and she acts like she’s king shit. If I could watch her die over and over and over again then I’d dedicate a couple hours of every day watching a gif of that.

My point is that she acts like she’s the powerful one. Um, no bitch, that’s Drogon. You should be answering to the fucking dragons, if anything. Act with SOME SEMBLANCE of humility or basic decency or basic knowledge of governance or basic knowledge in general.

When Dany goes on her creepy clingy girlfriend speech to Jon on how they are going to conquer the world and rule it together, Jon really should have said this after he stabbed her.

The most relatable character in season 2 was that fat spice merchant who refused to give Dany ships in exchange for payment after she conquered the 7 Kingdoms with 3 fledgling dragons. That's what happens when your brother sells you to Aquaman. You skip econ 101.

Book Littlefinger would have got the FUCK out of Winterfell the moment some crippled kid started repeating shit he said 6 seasons ago.

I will say though, that out of everyone in Game of Thrones, I feel bad for Emilia Clarke. She was really into her role and you can tell that she really loved her character and wanted to respect the fans of Dany. If they would have given her more time to build up Dany's insanity maybe it wouldn't have come across as mean and insulting to Emilia Clarke. God, this is giving me flashbacks to poor Mark Hamill and The Last Jedi.

But looks like he burns to the ground his daughter. Lol, hope that the book does not follow the show on that.
It doesn't. He has her stay at eastwatch with davos while he prepares for battle with the boltons. The show fucked stannis (and literally every other character) up hard.

It's also comparable to the Star Wars prequels. Rushed plots and bad dialogues. The only missing line from Dany was, I HATE SAND!

People say book-euron is the real shit. Nothing like the one in the TV show. And much more bad ass.

But. GoT is now only good for memes it seems ...

It is irrelevant to compare anything than happens post-season 5 with the books.
(and even 5 had a lot of major differences, but at least it seemed they were still trying)

To put into perspective how far ahead of the books the show got...

In the books...

Stannis is still alive

Fucking Stannis undermines things significantly, especially when you abruptly swerve him into a zealot child immolater. His was the first of many, really out-of-character rushed deaths that really smelled of "whelp we need to start taking some pieces off the board and wrap this shit up soon".

I think much of the appeal of GoT is the complicated personalities, their relationships and history between characters, interwoven together in a great tapestry. When you just pull one of those major strings out, it starts to unravel. They simplified Stannis and others in a manner that diminished things for the sake of expediency. And it showed.

I actually feel Dany got the ending I had always envisioned for Stannis. He claims the throne at last only to be killed shortly after, or the paradigm of an Iron Throne to be irrelevant by then anyway. So he fulfills the prophecy with laser focus, but it doesn't matter.

What's even worse about this "subverting expectations" nonsense is that some people think that it's a good thing by default. You have people using it as an argument to defend the Last Jedi and now people using it to defend this season of GoT.

Subverting expectations can be done poorly like everything else. Just because the show did the opposite of what you thought it was going to do, it doesn't mean it did that in a good way.

Subverting expectations is usually done poorly, because there really are not many cases where it can be used correctly. You have either a story like Star Wars for example, where the story telling has to be relatively linear and simple, because this is one of the qualities and if you change everything just for schock value it's cheap. Or, you have a very complex story, with clues, hints, foreshadowing, character archs etc. and changing everything simply feels unatural, not earned.

OH this shows had such great writingses...then there is this little shit.
220px-Rickon_Stark-Art_Parkinson.jpg

What is the point of this character? He was little more than a prop. He was literally OH BTW'd and the end of that letter Chef Ramsay sent to Jon the he wrote the he proclaimed gonna kick his ass and then non-con his sister. Didn't even say a word when he died like a chump and everybody forgot about him. The North Remembers indeed.

Melisandre's prophecy and God also didn't matter. Shits just... There.
Same with dorne. Just shoved to the side in season 5.
Aryas face ability was relevant...
Lol jk

The amount of unresolved shit and stuff that didn't matter almost rivals lost once you count it all up.

Wonder how all this shit is gonna tie together in the books. Yknow if he ever finishes them. It was already a meme how late the book is 4 years ago and now... I don't even know anymore.

Now it's been reported he's teaming up with from software to make a Norse rpg. Maybe you wanna finish the books before you take on a big project like that? No? Okay then
