Dogs.

We don't deserve them.
But we need them.

So ... we're just getting ... old? Taste changes. As it always does. And so does the media people consume. I guess.

*Edit I agree with some of his points. But I strongly disagree with others. At least from a personal perspective. So it's just my own opinion of course. But seriously a lot of movies that are made - he mentions the Last Duel - are simply boring if you ask me. Or not really of that stellar quality to begin with. So supporting them ... for what reason exactly? The Last Duel is in particular an interesting example because Ridley Scott complained about it that "not enough people saw it" apparantly. Or something like that. I don't know.

There is so much to consider here. I mean I hardly go to the cinema anyway, even before shitty Covid, because a lot of movies ... don't seem worth it to watch on the big screen for that price tag. So they have to get even? Yeah. Maybe don't pay actors millions in salaries? That might help. A little. - Obviously I am not talking about Indimovies here. That's a whole different story.

The Last Duel is the only recent movie I want to watch and yes I will not be paying for it so I am part of the problem but I don't care because movies are not going anywhere. 15 years ago I probably spent hundreds each year on movies but now not so much because I no longer feel the strong desire to own things.

It boils down to people only go to the theater to watch popcorn movies nowadays. Why would you want to sit in a crowded theater to watch A Beautiful Mind?

A BEAUTIFUL MIND IN IMAX 3D! EXPERIENCE TRUE SCHIZOPHRENIA!

I am not trying to get you in a serious debate where I say my opinion is the only valid one, I am just saying it as a response to the video above where I don't believe that we will necessarily see "less" of the movies he mentioned.

I honestly think we're simply experiencing a sort of transition where cinemas, the way we remember them, will become probably a relict of the past. I mean hands down cinemas have been often run on very tight budgeds already before the pandemic. - They sure never stoped complaining about all the licences and costs for keeping up with technology and so on. But the overall demand for the movies is still there. People are just not going to consume it like they did 20 years ago.

Streaming changed things. Just as how cinemas did 120 years ago. If I remember correctly I have red somewhere about how cinemas kinda pushed theaters out of business. They still exist but not even near the level that cinemas do. Who knows? It might simply be the end of this kind of cinema experience. Is it a good evolution? Or a bad one? Personal preference I guess. Entertainment has always been subject to change.

You aren't wrong. Theaters have been closing down since the 90's though. Back then they blamed it on VHS and DVD's. It really comes down to every shitty town does not need a theater like we used to have here. Now you usually find them in larger towns whereas in the 60's there was one in this town of barely 15,000 people. That real estate is still 100,000 dollars even though the building is no longer there and opening a business here is suicide.

So part of me is excited for this but another part knows I am not going to the theater so the entire movie will be spoiled for me even though there will be little surprises aside from the credits.

I was never a huge fan of the show and my grandparents saw through it. Ren and Stimpy is more like Betty Boop than Bugs Bunny.

Why people like the Codex is I have 1 alert here but 19 on Codex.

Superman is now a nerd playing video games in his free time.

Green Goblin words of advice.

Just read you need 1 million to retire safely now. So basically most should just plan on dying.

Video reviews and essays, but taking advantage of the hispanic speaking scene being not as saturated by stuff with heavy motion graphic and editing like the anglo saxon one.
