General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

I just beat Overlord a couple of days ago. I didn't hate the desert section as much as everyone else seems too, maybe because I just got on gamefaqs.com and figured out how to get past the stupid sand worm.

The whole game was pretty meh. It was too hard to tell if you were using the right minions and the reds in general were pretty useless due to their short range and low health. Blues were pretty useless because half the time your guys wern't even rezzable.

I reactivated Eve, the most indept advanced most interesting MMOs ever made. To bad travel and combat are so boring.

Been trying to figure out how run a specialist economy in Civ 4 but I keep quitting half way through the classic era.

I keep watching this thread in hopes I'll find a great game I've never played.

Still playing diablo 2... I unfortunately can not halt my addiction.
Also trying to edge through zelda on the wii when I have time on weekends.

Is Medieval Total War 2 worth buying? I have the rest of the series and love them, but it seemed weird to buy Medieval Total War again.

Does it differentiate itself well?

Just started playing Resident Evil 4.

Worst. Port. Ever.

Seriously, the bad porting turned what could have been a great game into a total clusterfuck.

hehe, yeah. a beautiful example of how NOT to port.

i found it rather humorous though that the cutscenes have uglier graphics on my pc than the actual ingame graphics.

priceless.

If you haven't played the console versions, definitely give RE4 a try outside of the PC. It's an awesome game and one of the few I've played to the end in recent months.

I have it for the gamecube but am thinking of buying the Wii version for it's supposed better controls and extra ps2 missions.

Back on Ogre Battle 64. I've been missing this one, and I was going through my storage shed, and bam, there it was, still stuck in the 64. Ahhhh I missed the music and the story.

Unfortunately I don't own a console and I'm not planning to get one, either.
Mouse controls would just work _perfect_ with that game. I can't understand why the had to make it keyboard-only. And the ingame-manual shows a controller and says "Press button 6 to..." B-E-A-UTIFUL!
I went crazy hammering on my keyboard when a horde of Zombies went towards me with shovels and hatchets while I was struggling with the damned keyboard-aiming. It could be so easy: aim for the head, left-klick, finished.

I recently started to play AvP II and Doom 3. I don't know which one is scaryer. Both games give me the creeps, so I can't play more than an hour a day.
(Whoa damn, darkness! Must switch to flashlight/night sight... Aaaaaargh, Zombies/Aliens coming from nowhere!)

Hello all,

These days I am playing Civilization 4: Beyond the Sword, but I have also installed Freedom Force VS the 3rd Reich again recently.

Say, can Civ IV: Beyond the Sword be installed without Warlords?
I have vanilla Civ but I got rid of Warlords for taking up too much space without adding much.

Heroes of Annihilated Empires.
I was very curios about this game .So far It has been quite Interesting. The Presentation is done very Nice .

I'm pretty sure what is on the Warlord's expansion will be included on the BTS Expansion. That's what happened with the Civ III expansion packs. The newest one (The Conqueror's) included the first expansion (Play the World).

Well, got me Beyond the Sword and playing it now. Yeah, it seems all the Warlords content comes with it.
The scenarios it comes with are quite cool. Final Frontier, a poor man's GalCiv II.. but it works surprisingly well. Afterworld, some sort of post-apocalytpic tactical war game and even a Fall from Heaven prequel. Fall from Heaven is my all time favouritest Civ IV mod, man! This is great!

I think it's well worth the hard-earned paycheck to buy it with. I've already invested more than 250 hours into the game. It's one of the most addicting games I've ever played. Hell, I played Medieval 2 more than Rome Total War, and that's saying a lot.

Currently, I'm playing Armed Assault, Brigade E5: New Jagged Union, and Fable: The Lost Chapters. Armed Assault is like having sex with my computer, a very, very, very attractive computer. Brigade E5 isn't bad either, but I've only played into it for about three or four hours. There is an addicting aura to it, but one can never be certain until one has fully played the game, or at least, invested many hours into it. As for Fable, well what can I say, there's chicken-chasers!
