General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

I am playing Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. I like this over most Zelda games just based on the mechanic of three days and such. It also seems to me as it's told alot like a picture book. Plus it tells the story of what the hell Link was up to during a small period of time during that seven years away from Hyrule. The only one I like more is Link to the past. Windwaker came close.

I applaud this post. Wonderful game, one of the best in my opinion. Termina is so full of wonders. but i don't understand what you mean with the seven years. i think you are mistaking, because the whole game happens after Ocarina of Time.
anyway i seriously envy you since i am guessing that it's your first playthrough.

I haven't play Dark Athena or Escape From Butcher Bay yet but i guess i will get my hands on Dark Athena as soon as i can.

I hope you know you need to play Escape From Butcher Bay first and only then Dark Athena?

And I envy all you bastards who get to play Brutal Legend. Fuck, it hurts.

yes, from what i have heard you need to play Escape from Butcherbay first.

Just got Gothic.

So far the world seems really well put together and fleshed out.
The combat is going to take some getting used to, and the strafe mechanism is annoying.

I am enjoying it however.

playing Half Life 2, next game I get is Arcanum.

I had the time of my life with both, but Arcanum's beauty....it's just one of a kind. be sure to install the official patch for it.

My laptop died on me 2 months after warranty ended, goddamn.

Well i decided to take some time and assemle gaming rig for a change (was easier than i thought). I got the parts today and just finished doing the work, after that i played some Bioshock which has been fun so far, allthough ive only played couple of hours.

I think those chambers were stupid idea, they remove challenge alltogother (tho im still in the early stages so...), also seems quite railroaded, but its a shooter after all so i wasnt expecting much else.

I do like the design and setting and those audiotape thingies have given nice little extra to the athmosphere.

Playing the Diablo 2 mod Median XL with a bunch of friends. It's got all new skill trees with tons of pretty fucking amazing spells. The item system is completely rebalanced/redone and there's an incredible amount of new enemies.

Seriously, this kicks the shit out of vanilla LOD; and I'm about as big a D2 fan as there can be.

You can disable the vita chambers through the options menu.

replaying Fallout 3. I got my hand on the Game of the Year Edition so i get to play the Expansions for the first time. I was kinda curios for The Pitt and Point Lookout.

So, has it destroyed any possible faith and interest you might have had in this game, boring you with repetition?

TF2 is having a special haloween weekend! it's gonna be great.

probably going to play some borderlands after that. i'm expecting my copy on monday.

The Left 4 Dead 2 demo...
I kina like it, feels like a sequel and the new special infected are great but it's weird, the game is a lot easier than the first one in expert mode...
The IA is kinda weird. Hope they fix this.

Riddick, the Butcher Bay 2009 remake.
Cool.

I haven't played any of the DLC's yet. But the main game is more or less the same. I would say that Fallout 3 definitly is worth 1 playthrought, but hardly worth a second playthrought. you can make a character that is capable of doing almost any quest in the game. And of course, it is hardly a fallout game. I think that most of the people wouldn't have had so much against the game if it wasn't called fallout. Calling it Fallout somehow rapes the franchise.

I will post some impressions after i am done playing all the DLC's(which might take some time).

Borderlands, it's actually pretty fucking good. I wasn't expecting much to be honest but now its won me over. I love the Art Style it's done in.

While Age of Conan takes most of my game time these days, 2 days ago I bought S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Shadow of Chernobyl on Steam and I love it.

The weather effects, the music and the ambient sounds are awesome. I always feel I have to be careful ...

Love the mood of the game so far!
