General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

I loved the [spoiler:cb00629536]Log Lady and Lucy (Twin Peaks) reference in the police station.

The officer/ receptionist on the left doesn't really look like Lucy but she sure has a similar high pitched voice :)

I'm not much of a horror fan so I'm probably missing a lot of easter eggs.

Playing the JA2 reboot.

It's bad in many ways, but fairly good in others. A shame most of the character voicing is pretty bad, although some characters' redesigns are interesting.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine
A steam friend picked up some copies cheap($16) for us to play together. It's a decent value if you have some friends to play the co-op Exterminatus mode with. Basically, you just kill waves of enemies, gain XP, unlock perks and weapons and whatnot. I haven't touched single player mode, but if it goes on sale again and Killing Floor is getting stale for you, I'd recommend Space Marine as a substitute. Versus mode seemed to be decent fun, too, and offers a much better variety in maps.

The story was the only redeeming thing about the game

And even that part felt like a cheap hollywood-ic thriller. It's too much in your face. It's as if the game is constantly screaming "Mystery!!! You wan't mystery?!?!! Come on I have it!!! Mystery!!! Be scared!!! Be thrilled!!!"

You damn co-op junkie you! Enough with the co-ops maka! E N O U G H!!!! :D

Re-playing GTA4. Took it 1 hour to install and another hour to make it work... Install windows live, install this program that program, uniinstall them, codes, patches, b.s. I bet the cracked version works fine and it's not filled with cr.p like the original game.

Still playing Kingdoms of Amalur, there is a lot to do in this game. I still haven't really touched the main quest. Still one thing I don't understand though: Why do 80% of the weapons/armors look the same?! Customization in this game isn't really good.

Civ 5 is pretty badass with mods.

I just beat Mother 3 and I am kinda sad. I think I beat it in about 20 + hours. Not too bad really. I can see myself playing through it again, but Earthbound is still my favorite.

there is gonna be an Asura's Wrath 2 right?

........

I don't want to live in this planet anymore.

Well, some of my save files corrupted so I am back to play New Vegas to prepare my files for Lonesome Road. I am also playing Braid again.

There is a mod on the official forums that disables the generic "roger" barks for all the mercs, which is what you hear the most and becomes the most annoying. (fox is the worst)

I have been replaying MGS 3 a little. Recently I have been playing a lot of old school games like Super Mario Bros. All Stars, Earthbound, Wild Arms, and Secret of Evermore. At least until I get the new Resident Evil game. :)

I also tried Plants Vs. Zombies for the DS, and I was pretty surprised. Not a bad little game.

In other news my attention span for games has dramatically decreased. I don't know if it is because games are becoming a lot more repetitive or what. I don't feel like I have been getting my money's worth on a lot of games.

World in Conflict - playing this. Graphically impressive, albeit generic setting. Now I understand where Modern Warfare 2 got their crap from, except they're 'Russians', not 'Soviets'.

I'm thinking about getting Wargame: European Escalation.
The setting's cool and it seems that it's finally another RTS with sufficient scale, like Supreme Commander.

Just did the Beyond Good and Evil HD trial on xbox live, it seems worth the $10, or i might buy a used copy of the xbox game. Anyone played the whole thing and recommend it?

Picked up Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. I am really enjoying it so far. The Heroes and Heralds mode is pretty fun. The various cards you can collect add special abilities, so it changes things up a lot. I suck playing online though.

Got my hands on Mass Effect 3.
Played it for an hour or two, but man I gotta get some sleep... *yawn*

Jealousy...

Ahem. Yeah, while waiting for ME3, I am still playing it's multiplayer beta :smug: Oh, and a friend got me into League of Legends. It's pretty fun, more explicit with it's mechanics than DOTA, the community seems less atrocious (a godsend), but sorry friend, come March 6th I'm playing another game.
