General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

And I dislike Fargo. It has become painfully obvious that his primary goal isn't on delivering promised content but on selling well. I can't blame a man for wanting to make good business, but I can blame him for manipulating his customers into financing something that he and his team are, apparently, unable or unwilling to deliver. And if he tarnishes the legacy of something as dear to me as Planescape: Torment, I would be really pissed off, so there's that too.

Whatever the reason, there are too many negatives in my book for me to be genuinely interested in this game. I will most definitely play it at some point, but it's quite low on my list of priorities at the moment and will probably stay there for a while.

Especially this. There is something about him that reeks of snake oil. The recent Bard's Tale shit makes it even worse.

I just tried out Hearthstone for the first time. Not a bad little game. I didn't know it was available for mobile too.

Damn now I really need one...$400 propane, $300 electric, late bills, taxes, broken ac in car, broken window, shit! Plus no tax return. To quote the brits - bollocks.

Perfect. Now I know what to buy on my Japanvaction!

Hollow Knight looks interesting, will boot it up when I get home.

I do believe inXile have talent, but they lack execution.
Or perhaps they lack passion.

Can't help myself, gonna compare with Fallout again.. The core-dev team behind Fallout - Cain, Anderson, and Boyarsky, were all young people (in their twenties? Colin, you dinosaur!) overloaded with enthusiasm. That's why they didn't mind accepting some overly ambitious and innovative design concepts never used before in their work. Since they didn't work on anything like that before, they didn't know how tremendous amount of work that means. (Okay, Tim as a skilled programmer perhaps knew, thankfully he was passionate enough to not burst their optimism.)

Modern franchising just lack this kind of enthusiasm, they're just re-branding olde games, trying to wrap different story around tried and trusted concept. There's less "gaming" and more "industry" in gaming industry nowadays, that's why they don't make them like that anymore.

Thanks to all pagan gods for small and passionate indie studios!

I'm taking all about it with a big grain of salt. What made Zelda was its overworld-dungeon exploration and progression.
But this seems to take the "see that mountain? You can climb it" approach.
It doesn't look like you can get stuck anywhere (ala Tokay Island, time period etc) nor places be significantly locked out.
Hmmmmm

Suit yourself Crni. Keep on not playing them games. ;)

Why do I lke it? Because this is the first Zelda since the originals to treat you like a big boy instead of a retard.

Hollow Knight is good, very. Takes a more Souls-y take on Metroidvania and instead of being a Sci-Fi or medieval fantasy it's more like a BugBorne.

On Zelda? Toront, do Jabu-Jabu's Belly or Dungeon of Time and come back to me pls

Motherfucker I live, sleep, and piss Zelda. I have Triforce pieces that come out of the tip of my dick when I pee.

Soon. So soon. My Wii U just got dusted off and the PS4 is unplugged.

Hey guys these near perfect review scores aren't making this wait any easier. It would be hard for them to fuck this one up in my eyes.

Did I win the zelda fandom pissing contest? Seriously though I am heading to ye olde Wal Mart here in a few to get a switch and Zelda. I may regret this but as I get older I'm starting to not give a fuck about waiting.

EDIT: I meant fantard. Fucking auto correct, made me turn on my laptop just to edit this.

Currently (re)playing Cultures: Northland.
Had a demo on CD and played it back in 2004ish (didn't have a clue what was it about)
But now that i know what's actually going on, and it's a really enjoyable game.
